I love the fact that this pub is our local. Today I tried the afternoon tea for the first time (which I highly recommend!) and have always enjoyed whatever other meal I've ordered. A fantastic range of food is on offer (from breakfasts to burgers to fish to pies!) and you're always served with a smile :-)

My friend and I turned up at lunch time yesterday having driven up from Cornwall. They were fully booked for lunch and there was Rugby on in the afternoon. The staff couldn't have been nicer and fitted us in without feeling rushed at all. The food was yummy, gonfor the lamb, and the pub was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend.

What an amazing venue for food and a function. Food couldn't have been better, like a home made dinner and hot. So helpful with people who had food alergies. The entertainment package was so well organised and went well beyond my expectations. Do not hesitate to book a function night here. Thank you to all the team. Xx

Very good value and excellent homemade food. We ordered extra onion rings which was a big mistake! the helpings are very generous. My wife had an excellent homemade lasagne and chips, I had an equally excellent lamb rogan josh half and half. (Half rice, half chips) We spent just a few pence over £20 per person thanks to the onion rings! No room for dessert. We shall return!

Fantastic food, cannot complain about it at all, genuinely really enjoyed. Not the cheapest, but a good sized portion. Lost a star due to the being so hot in there, very uncomfortable group of people anxious to get out and stand in the rain. Members of the group wafting them selves with beer mats and sweat dripping running down their heads... this was in the evening and raining outside!

What a lovely place. Just went out in the car with nothing planned on a very warm Sunday, saw this pub and popped in hoping there would be some availability for Sunday lunch, and lucky that there was. Busy place but not uncomfortably hot. Lots of interesting items dotted about, and a wall full of pictures of Richard Burton. Service was very quick thanks to there being 7 or 8 waiting staff, and the lunch was lovely and plenty of it, beef, roast pots, yorkshire etc plus the option of cauliflower cheese, just the main course for us although there was a 3 course option. All for just £9.00. Will be back.

What a find, the town where Richard Burton was born. Warm welcome by the staff, extra warm welcome to my 3 yr old grandson. Made a fuss of him immediately. Fab food 2 meals for £11.99 Childs meal was huge, Fish bites with beans & real chips, the fish was really white and chunky Corned beef pie tasty Scampi well portioned for price
