The Shah Tandoori Restaurant

Cosy old school Indian experience. Lovely staff and atmosphere, food is very good! Couldn’t fault food. I don’t know if it’s the best Indian locally, but I think it’s one of the best restaurants in Port Talbot for all round dinning experience and quality. Highly recommend to take your date or family to!

There are some meals in the Shah that are to die for so here are my suggestions;- Chicken Vindaloo with chips or half chips half rice. Everything about this meal is positive and no other restaurant in the UK has satisfied me it has a better taste. The chips in the Shah are refreshingly tasty hence I would consider them in preference to rice. I suggest this meal for taste however its hot also. Milder dishes;- I tend to go for the hotter dishes but my choice here is for SHAH SPECIAL which is a fairly huge whole chicken breast in a very tasty Bhuna sauce. Its the sage option also if you may not have eaten an Indian before and want something that will satisfy most taste-buds. The main 5 star asset of the Shah is the genuine friendliness. You will see it visibly throughout your meal, and if you have not been before just a hello is often all it takes. I would advise also telling them how you like your meal or asking their suggestion. Price is very reasonable . It can get busy sometimes even on weekdays.
