Review 84 By The Shore - Portchester

A chance find on the lovely coastal path from Porchester Castle to Fareham. Amazing cakes (baked by Lou's Cake Kitchen) and excellent coffee, teas and hot chocolate melt specials. Dog friendly! The only seats are two public benches but who cares, the view is magnificent and you can perch on the sea wall anyway. Open weekends and Bank Holidays only.

This place does the best sausage rolls I have EVER tasted!! We had an original pork and a pork and pickle one between us. The pastry was light and crispy and filled to the brim with delicious, well seasoned sausage meat. I could have just carried on eating them, amazing to the last bite. This will definitely be our regular weekend visit from now on.

Best coffee around Portchester. Excellent moist cakes; and the sausage rolls are really tasty, well filled, and come with different spices or branston pickle! This is our favourite weekend place. There is now an inside serving place for when the weather is wet 'n' windy. Service comes with a smile too...

Lovely coffee and Babycino with marshmallows Really appreciate the kindness towards my niece who dropped the top of her Cherry Ice cream - definitely will come again

Lovely food and drink served by really friendly staff with a seaside shack vibe. Cool.

A great stop for coffee. I had a well made flat white. Good service, pleasant surroundings. Will use again.

Was taking a stroll along the shore between Porchester Castle and Fareham and decided to stop off at 84 by the shore, I usually tend to stop off at Beach Hut @ Wicor Marina, but tends to get very busy, I had a dark chocolate, hot chocolate, and raisin cookie, would definitely recommend making a visit, but seem to remember they are only open at the weekend, great service

A lovely, different independent coffee shop in a unique location. The only problem I have is the fact it's only open most week-ends! Note: pic shows a view of the Fareham end of Portsmouth Harbour from close by at about 1630 on 26th Dec. 2021 - unfortunately they were shut :-(
