Really nice place, food was really good and staff are very friendly. Parking tricky as limited out front but able to find something just over road. Worth visiting and good choice of food.

Was recommended this place for Sunday lunch so decided to give it a try
Managed to park despite car park being a bit small - keep preserving if you can’t park as it will be worth it.
Lovely surroundings , cozy and warm atmosphere
The service was excellent , prompt and friendly
Food arrived and it was perfect , Roast Pork lunches followed by cheesecake and Salted Caramel Sundae
Very tasty, plenty of food at a sensible price

We were staying on a near by caravan park with our 2 dogs and were driving round to find I nice pub to have a meal in and omg we are so glad we found the rose and crown the food was amazing and I don’t know how they cook their chips but they were amazing, in fact they were that amazing we went back the next night best steak and chips I’ve ever had. And the staff were lovely and welcoming. Would highly recommend x

The setting of the pub is superb we took our son who was visiting from Australia and having travelled all over the world with work he said the steak he had was the best ever and the recommendation of how it should be cooked was perfect. My curry was superb and the rest of the meals beautifully presented with a smile. The staff were all polite and happy in their work and very attentive even though it was really busy. Our last evening with our son before he returns to Australia was a resounding success and we are so happy we took him to the Rose and Crown fir his last evening with us. Thank you so much to all the staff for giving us an unforgettable time.

What a lovely gem of a pub.
I had the 3 course special,at 16 I think it was and before 5pm only.
My partner had the 2 courses at £14.
Very clean fast service and lovely staff.
We will be going back and maybe try a cocktail which are very reasonable priced I thought.
Good selection of wines to.
Gluten free drinks a couple I noticed.
Even vegetarian meals on the menu.

Stayed at the Rose and Crown and really enjoyed the charm of this small country stay! The pub was exactly as we imagined, old and charming with great food and prices along with friendly staff. Service wasn’t super fast but we were never rushing and the food was worth waiting for. Particularly the starter share plate. If staying and eating there too the patio and green space across the street is a fabulous place to soak up the sun or watch the sunset and is perfect for kids too. Lots of stairs to the rooms so beware to pack light but rooms were clean, quaint and cute!

Stayed one night as I had a driving test in Bridgend and all the staff were so helpful and welcoming even an inspirational speech for the road… btw I passed 🚗
Definitely go see the seafront which was a recommendation from staff it was lovely ☀️

Lovely pub to stay in enjoyed one night room was clean beds where comfortable, had evening meal here really good food value for money, staff here are really polite, breakfast was lovely with good range of food to have, our view out of our room was good, really enjoyed, room was big enough we had three adults. Not that far to walk to Porthcawl.

Absolutely lovely place!
The food is delicious! We have a starter, main and dessert here and all of that was 10/10. This was probably the best fish in my life! Fresh and crispy, very tasty. Tatar sauce also very good.
Big choose of alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic one.
Very good tiramisu and stick toffee pudding served with custard or/and ice cream.
Morgan and Molly was very helpful and nice. They know the menu very well and they know everything! Thank you for that.

We were very impressed. The service was faultless even though it was a busy Friday night. All the staff were pleasant. The food was also faultless, really excellent and very good value for money. I am usually known to be a bit of a moaner but I have absolutely no complaints. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Never ever change!!! Very impressed.
