Well received by friendly staff. Premises were clean, tidy and in good repair, including toilets. Our order was taken, prepared and served fresh and hot, with adequate portions. Staff were very attentive and professional. Will certainly be visiting again.

We went here as a large group who hadn't booked and were accommodated very well. The staff were very helpful even offering to see if we could get some things that weren't on the menu. Traditional chip shop offering different portion sizes, also catering for OAP and children. Fish and chips is very nice and the Jumbo size normally caters for most. Also offer an Ashvale Whale for those up for the challenege! Very tasty and friendly service. Also offers salads and vegetarian options

Traditional Chipper. Great tasting, fresh produce, cooked to order. Clean, tidy waiting area. Free parking outside. Busy at lunchtime and supper time but even then don't have to too long. Tuesday, ran out of chicken pies, but lots of alternatives, chose chicken fillets and received free chips! No ha
The Jumbo Fish supper was superb. I can’t comment on the white pudding as the fish must have wolfed the lot because there was no sign of the mealie projectile in my order! Sob!!
Beautiful good quality food. Customers can either order food to go, or sit in the immaculate dining area. Not enough parking spaces but, there isn't the ground to make any more. Worth taking the time to go for the food though.
If you want good fish and chips then there are few places better than the Ashvale, really good food for a reasonable price, with friendly staff serving.
