Dishes here are amazing! The roasted pork loin we ordered was spot on; the pork’s tender and juicy and seasoned very well. The main dish comes with two accompaniments. My friend and I chose crab croquette, creamed potatoes, and truffle fries. All of them were delicious, especially the truffle fries, definitely the best fries I’ve ever had in my life. We also had some scallops for appetizer, which was great as well. The scallops and the peas were fresh and sweet. Furthermore, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and the service was nice. Overall it was a highly recommended place if you go on a trip to Isle of Skye.
Fabulous. Hands down. Service was top notch. My husband & I loved our meal. The scallops (I didn't get a picture of) were sensational. We shared the beef, chefs kiss. Paired with cocktails & wine. Great dining experience in this town. Absolutely worth driving to.
Food is good and price is reasonable. Each main comes with two side dishes. We were given a window table with good views to the garden.
We went there twice for dinner during our stay in Skye. The first night we were very impressed with all the dishes. However, the quality dropped quite a bit the second day (We went on Friday and Saturday so definitely noticed they did not taste the same both days!)
Still would definitely recommend this place, the staffs were incredibly lovely and the nuance was very classy and cosy.
Lovely spot for a nice dinner and the staff went out of their way to make my husband's birthday special! When I booked I had mentioned it was his birthday, but I was still very surprised that the staff sang to him and put a candle in his dessert. Food was lovely. Honestly loved the side dishes so much I could have eaten a whole meal of those! Can't wait to go back next time we're on Skye.
This place is fantastic. The best meal we had on our trip to Scotland.
We arrived without a reservation (worth noting that their online system does not take ‘day of’ reservations). They didn’t answer the phone either, but they had availability and were extremely welcoming. I think we had the best view in the restaurant too.
It’s worth noting they are within the ‘Marmalade hotel’ so don’t be shy about entering the building.
We ordered the 800 g Ribeye and had a host of side dishes. The wild mushroom and blue cheese millefleurs were amazing. The beer was well worth it, although not cheap.
We highly recommend a visit here. The food, service and great wine selection made it the perfect place for our last night in Skye.
This was the best food experience we had in the Isle of Skye. Everything we ordered was delicious, including the sides and the bread/butters offered. The staff was friendly.
We booked for dinner since it appeared to be quite tricky to find a restraurant without a made reservation. The restaurant is a hotel restaurant nicely furnished with a modern touch to it. The food was 10/10 very delicous. We had the wild mushroom soup, scallops, main was fish n fillet. They have a good and various drinks / wine card. The lady from the reception explained the menu ahead. We warmly recommend this restraurant which is located siltghly out of the centre of pontree. Dont forget to book in advance😉
Lovely restaurant in the Marmalade hotel. We had a good time there and the starter was excellent. For the main course we had the special Chateaubriand with Lobster Tail. The quality of the meat was really good but a place who calls itself Chargrill, you would think that cooking grades are always on the spot. We ordered our meat medium rare but unfortunately it arrived more cooked than medium which was the only downside in this place. Quite a major point though which should be corrected. Would we return? Yes we would as everything else was really nice.
What an amazing culinary experience! We happened across here and I can’t say how happy I am that we did. The food and the people were both excellent! We liked it so much that we came back twice to try more things. This is an absolute must go if you are in the area!
