We visited last night without a booking. A table was available right away. Each table was partitioned by curtain all wall to make your space more intimate, a great addition!
The food came within 10 minutes of ordering and it was all delicious - particularly the southsea maki.

Celebrating our daughters 16th birthday today. A popular restaurant in Southsea with excellent Japanese food, warm atmosphere and friendly staff.
Totally random find on the way to the theatre - but very happy with it. Clearly very popular with locals and probably best to book in advance, although we got a table for 2 with just a 20 minute wait. Great food and service.

The only reason Iām giving this restaurant 4 stars is because we made a reservation at 9:30, but got our table only by 10. The staff were very accommodating and friendly though, but I feel they should have alerted the people who had already finished dining, paid their bill but were sitting and drink
Next time you think about going to Wagamama, just come here instead. Better service, bigger menu, better quality food served in an intimate warm and comfortable restaurant. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient, and portions are generous. The yakatori was some of the best I've had outside Japa
