The best breakfast in Portsmouth no doubt! Awesome staff and great place to hide from the world for a few hours with great company over a pint!

We now live in Australia but when we visited family in 2015 we had breakfast here and it was delicious. We are always looking for cool places that are a bit different. We do love an Irish bar and of course a Guinness! If we do ever visit again we will definitely be back.

Brought my son here for his first full English (he's American) and was not disappointed. The food was great and well priced. Staff were friendly and gave excellent service. Will definitely stop here on my next visit to Pompey!

Always on the lookout for a good Irish Pub. Small but well formed, this is a popular watering hole in central Southsea - easy to see why. Not too busy in the early evening, but just wait until later! Adequate seating for the size. Friendly staff.

Shenanigans serve the best pint of Guinness in Portsmouth. They also serve a great breakfast. The pub is a bit small but that adds to the atmosphere, especially when rugby is being shown. A good range of lager and wine is also available. Service is second to none. Highly recommended.

I have visited a handful of times and thought i'd write a review. Love their breakfasts! Lorn sausage and white pudding were new to me. Menu caters for all appetites. Good selection of alcohol. I tried my first Baby Guinness here on St Patrick's day, which I really enjoyed! Followed by a pint! Hurry The Jug are a traditional Irish band and i've been lucky to have caught them a couple of times - being a musician myself I really appreciate hearing great live music and even moreso with HTJ as my grandparents were Irish and our Nana used to play this kind of music all of the time. Friendly service and will no doubt be back. I believe they have a pie menu 👀

Great breakfast, first time visiting and I’ll definitely go back. Great food with local butchers sausages from across the road. I was very impressed with the price of the food considering its great quality and quick service. Free tea and coffee too!

We had heard great reviews of the breakfast here and I have to say it certainly lived up to expectations. I had the Scottish and my wife the Traditional (small!) breakfast. Both were absolutely fantastic. The service was friendly and efficient without being intrusive. All in all a great way to start the day!

Very pleasant. Good beer and good atmosphere. It's a shame that it's such a small venue with limited seating, but that does contribute to the atmosphere. I'll definitely be back. Thank you.

The breakfast here looks so good, it's on my list to revisit and try. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, just what you expect from an Irish bar!
