On thursday we chose this Fish n Chip shop as our usual one was temporary closed. I must say for first time we were very Impressed with the quality. We ordered Cod and Chips. The cod was gorgous succulent mouth watering and the batteer was perfect not greasy and not soggy delicious in fact. Chips were plenty and we not hard nice size and most important freshly fried and not double cooked like some places. Nice service too. Clean shop. Shall return for more soon. Keep up the good quality service ...👍
Consistantly good and deservedly busy, on unknown reasons I have not been in here for about 12 months and was chuffed to find they are as good as ever, also discovered their amazing curry sauce

Great friendly and quick service, excellent freshly cooked fish such as Haddock, only need one portion of chips to share as plenty to go around. After Highland Fling shut....Cod Squad has my custom. Recommended.
Excellent fish and chips, service not so good as the take away deliveries take up a lot of time. Parking is also a problem.

Really good food, proper nice fish n chunky chips with decent curry sauce! Reasonably priced n quickly served, even with it being a Friday night... Recommended if you're in Pompey.
Absolutely the best fish and chips we had for a very long time. Large cod is whale sized! The fish was perfectly cooked with crispy batter, and the chips were also lovely. The young guy who served us was very polite and pleasant. We will definitely return when we visit Southsea again.
Reminds me of how chippies were when ai was a kid, I don’t mean getting your food in a newspaper, but massive portions, loads of choice, the smell is old school mouth watering and tastes great. Cracking chippy. My only first world problem with it there is no gravy!
Genuinely the best cod I've ever had at such a reasonable price. I've spent twice as much for fish that wasn't half as meaty and flavourful. Giant chip portions, large is enough for three people!

shop based on the reviews we read, and have not been disappointed. The fish is delicious and the generous portions of chips are perfectly cooked. The staff are always wonderfully friendly, professional and polite. Worth going out of your way for - we did so again tonight and had yet another excellent meal. Highly recommended.
Excellent fish and chips! Crispy, cooked to order, good sized portions. Two regular chips were plenty for my family of four. Staff friendly and helpful. Near to leisure lake and seafront for nice place to eat. Definitely recommend.
