The Sir Alec Rose - Portsmouth - Photo album

Excellent location overlooking the marina. Sits on two floors and very clean throughout. My breakfast was very good, and pleasant service too, particularly from Jade. Will return
We stopped here for breakfast. Was really busy upstairs on the balcony, however I have attached a photo of the view which explains why. The food was served fresh and hot. Only negative was the queue for the hot drinks machine. There is a free car park close by. Both floors accessible to all as the
Enjoyed a meal in the evening and then breakfast the following day. Great value for money and reasonable quality and service. Can't complain for the cost. Happily go back. Certainly better than your average spoons.
Really nice food. Staff were very helpful. The location at Port Solent Marina is special. Well worth a visit.
The value for money here is fantastic. The food is good, there's a good choice and I personally love the hot drink refills. It's clean, the staff are always nice and it's popular. The view over marina is very lovely. Perfect on the way to or from the nearby cinema too.
Great place for a reasonably priced pint at Port Solent. Plenty of choice and a great selection, not eaten here yet. Plenty of seating inside and out, particularly nice place to visit on a hot sunny day so you can sit outside and admire the views of the marina. Gets very busy at the weekend but serv
Typical 'spoons' fare. We occasionally go for breakfast and sit downstairs as it's calmer. On this occasion we sat upstairs which is a bit noisy/chaotic but only because it's a popular location. The weather was so nice we regretted not sitting outside with a choice of up or downstairs. Service, desp
We ate here on Monday and it was really nice. We found a table and ordered via our phone. As you can see from the photos we had curry, pizza, jacket potato and burger so a wide range. We also had puddings, soft drinks and a coffee which I was too full to refill, even though I could have done. The fo
Unfortunately, the disabled lift was not functioning so we moved to the ground floor. Great service and quality and lovely friendly staff
We often come to this restaurant, we love it as a family. We love the food, the service is always good and the positioning alongside on the marina is fantastic. My only reservation is when it gets super busy, it can feel a little oppressive, but that's why we try and go during the weekdays.
Excellent location, clean and well maintained- staff were so thoughtful and friendly, lovely experience. we sat outside with a view on the marina and had breakfast- under a canopy when the British weather turned on us! Coffee machine worked and was good coffee :)
Called in here for a few drinks really friendly staff and sat outside with great views of the yachts all moored up
A wonderfully situated Wetherspoons overlooking a beautiful harbour. The views from the upstairs restaurant and balcony are worh a visit alone. Then you have great food and drink at great price, along with great staff and service. And plenty of parking.. What's not to like!
Staff were great from the minute we arrived. Breakfeast was great as well and arrived at the table at a decent time. Lots of parking available and great scenery, after all it is at boat/yacht club.
Lovely pub .food was very good .beer was nice and cold great price
Had breakfast at Alec Rose on Tuesday morning It's in a beautiful setting on a fine sunny morning. Choice and quality of food good: Unlimited refills of coffee once you've paid for the first one. Service was quick and friendly but don't expect frills.
