Great friendly atmosphere. Staff friendly and happy to help. I had the pie and chips which was delicious and alot of filling and gravy inside. The onion rings were really good also. The Mac and cheese maybe a little small but we were really happy with our food and drink and all round experience. Highly recommend

One of my favourite pubs in Portsmouth. Serving a great food menu and good selection of beers and wine. It also has a large rear garden to enjoy when the weather is suitable. Also it has regular social events including live music on Friday and Saturday nights regular quiz nights. If you live or are visiting Portsmouth I can highly recommend this pub.

Nice place for a beer and a bite, unfortunately we had the misfortune of the chef leaving after we had ordered which meant food took 2 hours to arrive and with little ones who were hungry it wasn't great, food was of good quality and we did enjoy what we had. Other than that I would recommend and I would be willing to give this pub another chance as I've heard it's a great place to eat. Garden was of nice size with plenty of seating

Dined here this evening and the quality of the food was excellent, restaurant quality food. 2 adults, 2 children and 2 grandparents, food enjoyed by us all. Will definitely return here when we are next visiting from Dublin

We had a bite to eat and a few drink in the beer garden. The food was good. I was drinking Neck Oil, which is OK for a mainstream pub.

A lovely warm welcoming Pub based on the junction of Albert Road and Fawcett Road. They are part of the Greene King chain, have a large pub garden and friendly welcome team of staff. The Staff have strong product knowledge of the large variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food which is served and prepared fresh to order on the premises. They stock a large range of wines - red, white and rose, a extensive selection of spirits from Whiskeys, Rums, Vodkas, Tequilas and Gins of all flavours, they also sell a selection of hot drinks, desserts and liqueurs. There are regularly changing promotions including beer & a burger deals, bottomless festive brunch, gin trees and cocktails offers. The Pub is also both Dog and family friendly, it is ideally placed if you are going to the Wedgewood Rooms or the King's Theatre to take in a comedy show, live music performance or the pantomine. As both Venues are a short walk away along the vibrant beating heart of Southsea - Albert Rd. The pub is also adhering to all current Government guidelines and restrictions under the Tier System, including the NHS Track & Trace, the rule of Six and Greene King's own in-house PubSafe guidelines. So can be assured that you both customers and staff are being as keep as safe as possible.

Beautiful ambience and relaxing spot for friends and fun seekers, also available is an open seat out area for smokers and cools breeze. The life band is soothing to the soul. It's a fun place to be.

Couldn't speak for the food but if it's as good as their service then it should be absolutely amazing!

Classic pub. Love it. Food is amazing. Revision 002: Quality of food can be vastly different depending on the staff on shift. Had a terrible 3 meals this time round. The roast chicken was dry as a horrendously dry thing. Albeit late in the day..... 1630, the chicken shouldnt have been quite so bad (see pic). Time to boycott for a couple months.... again.

First time in here for a roast dinner and I was really impressed. The first was lovely! It’s a shame they had no beef but the chicken did just fine. The gravy was on point! I will definitely be eating here again, oh and it’s reasonably priced too!
