A classic Tobys experience, even given that it was bank holiday Monday. Staff were really helpful in accommodating our odd requests and the food was quick. Would recommend booking beforehand.

We got a drink sat in garden. Then we’re called to table. The waitress showed us to the table. Was very polite and answered are questions. We didn’t have to queue long. And was lots of choice. And it was all nice and hot. A very enjoyable meal.

Fast service. Carvery was good but could be hotter. The children's burger was terrible. The roll was dry and it had chicken nuggets inside instead of a chicken burger. Drinks were good but no refill available for orange tango. Staff were pleasant.

It was very busy so there was a long queue for the food servings. There was then a group of 5 of us waiting at the gravy for the 2 pots to be refilled. This took several minutes and having to ask 3 different staff for more. The food tasted great though and represented really good value.

9/10 very good carvery! Great range of veg and bits to go along with the meats, quick service, all cooked perfectly. Only £12.99 per person (at time of review) which I'd say is a bargain considering you have to waddle out the door!

Unfortunately it was VERY busy which meant there was a bit of a wait to be seated and then quite a long line for the actual carvery. But this added to a good atmosphere and full credit to the staff who worked so hard in very hot conditions and dealt well with customers who were unhappy with the waiting.

Fabulous breakfast buffet, took a while for the chefs to reload all the elements but notheless a very tasty morning meal. Not too sure about the Yorkshire pudding and gravy for breakfast though!

Good service given, didn’t have to wait in a long queue for the carvery as on previous occasions. Food was hot, great selection of meats and veg.

I use the Toby on a quite regular basis. It's become more of a 'local' to us now.!! Incredibly busy this afternoon. Possibly due to last weekend before kids go back to school?? No real problems today didn't fancy a carvery in this weather! Only real issue was the beer was warm again. No real issues in trying to get a seat as plenty today. Will be back over next few days.

No yorkshire puddings today, some equipment was out of order. A bit disappointed by this, but it will probably be fixed soon. Otherwise satisfactory food, service, and even the toilets were clean. Fairly busy, but staff helpful and smiling. No queues to get in, and it is possible to order a table in advance.
