Montrouge - Portsmouth - Photo album

On my walks I often pass Montrouge saying to myself 'I must try there one day'. Finally I booked. I believe that they have only started serving Sunday Lunch for the past four weeks and already are proving popular! There is a lovely feel to the restaurant and tables laid beautifully. I ordered the be
I loved it! Lovely atmosphere, delightful sumptuous meal with elegance & flair, everything tasted so fresh and the meal was served lovely and hot! The service was impeccable, Karen went above and beyond for us. Oh my ...so glad I chose the duck with the red cabbage & fried potatoes to start & the de
Me and 3 girlfriends had a fabulous lunch here, we had lots of starters to share and each had the steak for mains, it was all absolutely delicious. Prior to our meal we advised that I had some allergies, on arrival Karen (front of house) talked me through the menu and explained all the options and h
Small restaurant but food is packed with fantastic flavours. Great wine too! I opted for the lunch offer of 2 courses for £13.50 which is incredibly great value considering how top notch the food was! Special thanks to George the chef who talked me through the menu and thank you Conor who recommend
At the end of a street of burger bars and pizza places is this unassuming French restaurant. The food was excellent, as was the service, and all at a reasonable price
I was recommended to try this lovely little restaurant and I was not disappointed. The lunch menu was wonderful with a simple range of good choices that catered for gf, vegetarian and meat eaters! All extremely appetising. I had the montrogue starter for a sharing starter, followed by entrecote stea

The team who work here are really approachable and friendly, I would highly recommended this plac
Has become a defacto meeting place. Limited selection of draft beer but a great selection of everything else. Food is prepared, cooked and presented by staff that enjoy what they do and it is apparent at every stage. Limited parking but on the plus side means no car and an extended visit.
Finally got to visit this restaurant on Saturday night and I can’t tell you how impressed I was with the food, atmosphere and service. Having lived in France for two years, authentic French food is one of my favourites. If I closed my eyes, I could have been back in Antibes many years ago! Definatel
What a lovely addition to Southsea’s food offerings. It’s nice to find a place to eat solo and feel super comfortable. Cosy and warm vibe, friendly staff. Good menu of French classics, well priced and of course a good slosh of wine to wash it down with. Camembert and moules were fab. No rush for me
