Gochu Japanese Restaurant And Bar

50th Birthday celebration with 11 family members and friends for Sunday lunch. My starter (beef fillet with rice & mushrooms) was outstanding - worth every penny - and the Sunday lunch (a traditional roast with a Japanese-style twist) was also delicious (broccoli, sugarsnaps and pak choi arrived in serving bowls after I’d taken the photo). I don’t usually have a sweet, but treated myself to the sticky toffee pudding (to take away, except that within about five minutes of its arrival at the table, my willpower utterly disintegrated and I’d scoffed the lot!) We had a great time and everyone enjoyed their food. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Been a few times and because of the food and service it's now my favourite local restaurant. A fantastic addition to the town. The service is always great and the food fresh and flavoursome. The signature cocktails are sophisticated, highly recommend the cherry blossom martini. I also love the karaage cauliflower florets I order them every time they are that good. Book a table on the rooftop bar if you can. Very much looking forward to my next visit.

Having been to Gochu before we decided to to book for Mother's Day and we chose the Sunday Roast option on the menu. I have to say it was exceptional. The infusion of flavours on a what would normally be a standard roast dinner was sublime. There were other small dishes available too. Like before, we received excellent service throughout, and the whole atmosphere and ambiance just topped off a fantastic Mother's day out for my wife. We will definitely return this outstanding restaurant.

This place was recommended to us by a friend and I'd happily pass the recommendation on to others. Very modern and clean environment greeted with a warm welcome, the staff were brilliant and offered some great suggestions. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and the food was delicious and very well presented. Really enjoyed our visit If you're looking for amazing food in Poulton this is the place to go.

If you are willing to spend a decent amount of money the this is definitely your place! Ordering multiple dishes is best as well as trying to book on the top floor as during the day and evening can have an amazing view. The food was the highlight of my time as well as the lovely kind staff. Highly recommend if you want a good experience and atmosphere as well as brilliant food!
