Fish and Chips - fish is cooked to order and probably could have done with a couple more mins in fryer and then left to drain a bit more but the fish was really 'meaty' and very tasty and the batter was not too thick. I am really picky when it comes to chips, but these are good. Chicken 'Burger' is
Just come back from visiting for the first time ever. Ordered 7 portions of fish n chips. Great food, and well done to the lady behind the counter for standing no nonsense from an out-of-the-area construction worker who tried to square up as his colleagues just stood there and watched.
Fantastic fish and chips! Staff recognized visiting from the states. Still piping hot even with take away and stopping for petrol on the return. Great mushy peas and gravy too!! I will return for more - highly recommend. Extremely nice staff and substantial portion size too!!

I travel 1 hour to visit this chippy, we usually have a road trip and plan a visit, it’s easily the best chippy we have visited and I have visited a few from north to south, the sausage in batter is the best, I don’t eat them anywhere else as I will be disappointed, my family love fish from here as

Never been disappointed with the quality of the food. The batter is always crisp, the fish is always flavoursome and not greasy. Never stingy with the salt and vinegar either. Service is quick and always comes with a smile. I couldn't ask for a better local chippy

The food here absolutely fantastic and prices to go with it. Bit of a wait outside due to social distancing measures but that's only to be expected with the restrictions. The 2 beautiful young ladies serving were very polite, smiley cheerful women which made me feel that I would return time and time

Best fish and chips I've eaten in years and no soggy fish due to the cardboard carton rather than polystyrene. Eco friendly too!
