Lovely food and dining experience, with great staff and a real nice buzz about the place. We went on a Thursday and enjoyed the Steak Night special which was good value. The menu also has a wide variety of dishes catering for all tastes. Looking forward to the re-introduction of the cheese board on the dessert menu!

Great location. Good to have the option to eat outside. Decent menu choices and prices on par with similar local places. The shin of beef I chose was very good.

We had a large group booking, couldn't fault the food, all came put quickly and it was still hot. The food was really tasty too!

Popped in with our 3 dogs as it was recorded as dog friendly. It certainly was that staff were quick to provide a bowl of water & treats. Lovely building and grounds. Did not eat on this occasion, but the menu was very inviting.

Went here for lunch. Plenty of staff, all friendly and attentive, decent beer and nice food. A very well run establishment.

A decent boozer with quality food served by good staff in good time. Everything I had was well cooked and tasty of the quality it was advertised to be. The one very slight negative was the acoustics which allows a lot of sound to bounce about but, overall, an enjoyable dinner with good beer.

The service and food was top notch. Staff were polite and accommodated the special dietary request of one in the group Will definitely visit again if in the area again .

We had a lunchtime meal there and it was fabulous. Far too much to finish, beautiful presentation and great service. Will return soon.

4 of us visited the Manor House at 4pm yesterday hoping to have a meal but without a reservation. As the pub, restaurant and garden were so busy, we thought it would be highly unlikely. We were greeted by amazing staff and were told it would be no problem at all. The food and service was excellent and with hardly any waiting time. The homemade Sunday roast was excellent quality and reasonably priced. I was very impressed how good it was especially being homemade and not something that had been pinged in the microwave! With the constant flow of meals and the attentive staff, you really deserve to do so well. Keep up the excellent work guys, we'll definitely be back!

Another tasty meal enjoyed by both was followed by drinks in the outside seating area in lovely sunshine.

Stayed in one of the rooms and it was delightful. Excellent value for money, tonnes of space, well equipped and very clean. Staff are exceptionally helpful and accomodating. This was our first hotel visit with our first child and really met our new parent anxiety calmly and professionally. We ordered food and drinks to the room which was OK. Fish was burned in places, batter undercooked in others and the nibbles were a little lack luster. Would return for convenience and to give another try as previously food has been top notch.

Nice food and atmosphere, a tad expensive but was nice and hot when served.

I really enjoyed this place, very friendly staff, great bubbly lively atmosphere. Awesome selection of drinks especially on tap beers. Family and pet friendly with ample parking in a lovely location. Will definitely be returning.

Beautiful food. Lovely real ale. What a nice pub should be. With steam trains at bottom of garden. Well worth a visit

Being disabled I found access a bit difficult. Though I appreciate the age of the building. Could have done with simpler offers on menu, like jacket potatoes

Attractive bar, attentive staff and decent beer garden with interesting menu available...bang bang chicken salad was wonderful. Lots of car parking available.

Highly recommended. We booked very late on Friday and were greeted by their cheery host. Service was wam friendly and efficient. Food was exceptional and very good value. Overall very pleasant and enjoyable experience and great atmosphere. Why cant all restaurants do this well? Congratulations to the team at Manor House Keith Allan

Can't recommend this place enough! We arrived from a long journey and had asked them to book us a taxi to go to the gin school but as the taxi wasn't going to get us there in time the owner kindly took us ( can also recommend the 45 gin school just down the road!) The rooms at the back of the pub in a courtyard style are beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need for your stay. We ate at the pub in the evening and the food was delicious with plenty of choice. It was also really busy being their steak night (Thursday) which made for a buzzy atmosphere.

Very disappointed to say the least!! Clearly asked if menu items were gluten free due to allergy and after many discussions between front of house staff and manager told which items were suitable. ordered simple lunch sandwiches only to receive what can only be described as a small bun ( very dry) with 1 sausage cut into 4 ! Was told at point of receiving my lunch that the chips weren’t suitable and was then offered new potatoes as a substitute very clearly not worth the money they charge for it and no awareness of cross contamination or allergies what so ever If you can’t cater for allergies don’t state you can ! It’s not a fashion statement for some but a very real medical allergy!! Very rude unhelpful staff will not be visiting or recommending to anyone !!

Popped in for a bite to eat, sampled the gluten free coronation chicken sandwich was rather delicious and the pint of salvation went down like a treat My sons door step sandwich looked amazing I'd definitely say this makes a meal in its self Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff We'll be back for more

Absolutely superb fish last night! We are regulars and have never thought of writing a review before because it’s ALWAYS nice food and warm friendly yet professional atmosphere - however I feel the chef needs a special mention for our meal last night. Specials board - “Lemon Sole and Smoked Salmon Paupiette with sliced potatoes in a creamy olive sauce” Absolutely superb dish - the both types of fish blended so well - and this is something we’ve not seen before here - seriously rated it as Michelin style in our opinion :) So hats off to the Chef for this delightful dish!!! Pls keep it on the menu regularly as we will have it again! Thank you :) x

Stayed here last night while dining locally. We had the beautifully appointed Prospect room which has views over the fields at the back and over the courtyard at the front. The room has two doors on entry with a little coat / storage room which means the room is really quiet inside, no chance of being disturbed by other guests. It ha a really comfortable super king size bed, tassimo coffee maker with a good selection of Costa coffee, fresh homemade biscuits were left to accompany the drinks. The bathroom was gorgeous with a roll top bath and rainforest style shower and mahogany loo . Hosts were very nice and the breakfast made with good quality ingredients and very tasty. Very good value for money. The pub which is separate to the rooms and where we had our breakfast at 8.30 am was spotlessly clean in the morning following a busy Friday night which was good to see! Definitely will return

Nice place however couldn't offer a single vegan meal, which shows the chef cannot be that great as everywhere does veg! Was a shame but it was a blunt no,not even willing to sort something.

We stayed here on 8th December after our visit to 45 West Gin school. We had booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package and were not disappointed. Lovely room, fabulous dinner and breakfast and really lovely staff. Left feeling we had really good value for money and a wonderful time. Well done to The Manor House.

Went today for my daughters first birthday lunch, food and service were fantastic, very polite waitresses. One of the waitresses asked what we where celebrating and when dessert came they had arranged for a plate of ice cream wishing my daughter a happy birthday on it, nice touch she loved the ice cream. First time we have ever been but certainly will be returning. Great garden as well.

Fab evening at last nights Beaujolais Nouveau themed evening. Great atmosphere enhanced by staff French attire and the dulcet tones of the accordion. Delicious French onion soup followed by perfectly cooked succulent chicken chasseur, topped off with a naughty slice of apple and calvados tarte with Chantilly cream...yum. The Beaujolais itself was surprisingly quaffable. Well done everyone involved, thoroughly enjoyable.

Had a wonderful evening here celebrating my sisters 21st birthday. Our lovely waitress Sarah was extremely attentive, warm and friendly. There were some lovely surprise touches for the birthday girl from the staff too! The food was presented beautifully and the sea bass dish got especially good reviews from members of the party. All ten of us had a lovely evening - thank you! We will definitely be back.
