Raglan Fish

Walk up the ramp to the right of the building in the car park! Great hand cut chips. Crunchy, fresh and perfectly salted. Fish was not over battered either which was fresh and tasty. Grabbed some salmon steaks for dinner too, because why not! Great selection of things like raw fish, chowder, fish pies and more on the side of the takeaway section. Stoked as!! We will be back.

4.4 | some of the best fish and chips I have had. We ordered the snapper special, was delicious! Fish was cooked perfectly and broke apart while having a great crunch to it. Chips were solid, added a bit of salt to make them pop a bit more (i think they are unsalted). Prices are fair for the quality you get. Absolutely would recommend a stop!

Fabulous tasting fish and chips on the wharf at Raglan. Looks to be straight off the boat ... straight into the fryer 🤩 There's a reasonable selection of freshly caught fish available for you to choose. We had trevally which was cooked in a nice, crispy beer batter. The chips were lovely with tons of salt on them. (you can order kumara (sweet potato) chips but they are not my thing) No vinegar (doesn't seem to be a thing in New Zealand) but slice of lemon did the job !!! Small area to eat in ... or take your meal to sit on the wharf. Order at the counter inside ... pick up from the window outside. All fish cooked to order. Also available to buy is chowder, fish pies etc to take away.
