Review Inglenook Farm - Rainford

It’s a cute little lavender farm with a nice cozy cafe with delicious and filling food, set in a beautiful location, with a small shop as well. Had a really nice afternoon.

Growing lavender with lovely smell. Love the food on the cafe and even stay a while before a bike trip ahead.

Lavender field is nice, but small. It could be much bigger and I missed that it doesn’t have any accessories for photo shooting, such as an old bicycle or a chair on the field. On second Sundays of each month an artisan market is taking place at Inglenook farm, which was also really nice, cheesecake was delicious. Nice day out.

As the owner of a new puppy I was delighted to find this beautiful place, which accommodated for dogs. The guy at the cafe was so kind and brought over a chew for my dog. The eating area was lovely and the food was delicious, and not badly priced. The lavender was starting to bloom and the scent was wonderful. This will be a regular place to visit from now on.

First time here today. Only stopped along the Rainford bypass to get my little one an ice cream while it was so hot today. We were pleasantly surprised at what we found. In a farm setting there was ample indoor & outdoor seating, restaurant serving hot & cold meals etc, farm shop, antique bike shop & craft shop. Absolutely gorgeous grounds leading to a pond with ducks & little wooden childrens characters lining the pond area including the famous "The Gruffalo!" Events are advertised here including a kids pantomime in late summer! Fantastic hidden gem. St.Helens best kept secret!! 👍🌻😁

Fantastic place, lots of little shops, the cafeteria is brilliant and not expensive, lots of good free car parking space, they have disabled parking and facilities. See the hand carved Gruffalo family and a Triceratops for the children to enjoy. There are also Artisan markets and outdoor shows coming soon. Nice for a trip out anytime but, especially on the market days.

A welcome stop for lunch, on our 13.4 km Meander in the area. A really nice place with pleasant, helpful staff, good menu choices and quality food and drinks. A number of small shops around, worth a look as are the animals in the paddocks. A New ramp for pushchairs, prams and wheelchair access being constructed, at the time of our visit.

We enjoyed a tasty lunch on Sunday, a get together with Family. Well presented, quality fare, highly recommend, nice drive out there. Staff very efficient, pleasant place to meet up x

Helping my sister out at the artisan market. We picked a great day to go. Snow makes this place look awesome.

Visited for the first time on Sunday. Inglenook Farm is a brilliant day out. There was various stalls set up including food and other small gift items. Their was also dog training too - the place was packed!

Called in for lunch yesterday, my partner ordered the breakfast, no complaints there, but I ordered the Quiche off the specials board, and really what a disappointment, a tiny piece of non discpript quiche, salad and crisps on a side plate size plate, when the waitress came over to check if everything was ok, I asked if it was a child portion, and said this was very poor value for money, she went to mention in the kitchen and said we would receive a discount on the bill, which we did, not really the point though is it??Perhaps I was supposed to order a side of chips?? But some people may have dietary issues with chips, for a £1 less than a breakfast, you would expect roughly the same amount on a dinner plate.

Delicious breakfast, from other reviews I see some people feel £7.20 is expensive, but that's really what you'd expect to pay for a decent farm shop breakfast locally and the produce was all fresh and delicious, and you got plenty of it.... with really yummy buttered toast. Hubby is veggie and he said the veggie sausages were some of the nicest he's ever had. Wish we had had room for cake as it looked gorgeous! I would definitely recommend and will certainly be going back!

Had a great day at the artisan food market, a great variety of stalls and a nice veggie breakfast in the cafe. Food was lush and so was the service. One criticism is that there weren't enough goats

Just wanted to say a big thank you for letting me and my daughter to take beautiful photos next to the lavender fields... you have helped us to make memories to treasure forever....;) also would like to say thanks to a young gentleman who without hesitation offered to take a photo of us (me and my little one) together... and the food is delicious ;) highly recommend this place

What a great farmers market, so much choice and the stall holders are friendly and helpful. There was also live music which helped to create a great atmosphere, would definitely recommend it to all.

We love it here and visit every month for the artisan market. Always come out with some lovely buys. I would definitely recommend anyone to visit. It's always a lovely day and we will be returning again for the Christmas market in December.

Lovely place and very friendly staff just had a snack on this occasion but saw other customers dishes and they looked great, will visit again. Bought some Lavender

It is fabulous. Nothing better than having a lush breakfast outdoors with lavender sprigs on the tables. Then off to make a fuss of Whitey and Lucky before reluctantly leaving. Are we allowed to bring a couple of carrots for Whitey, his eyes always seem to plead for a yummy treat

Very disappointed. Attended the Family Fun Day today, definitely not worth the time we took to go! £2.00 per child to ride on a Thomas train that went on a circular track, £2.50 per child for the fun house that as very much not a lot of fun. Wish I had gone to Calderstones Park where you could get 10 rides for £10. We then thought we might like an ice cream but £3.99 for a 99er was ridiculous. £2.99 for a small one! Absolute rip off :( As there were 5 of us, didn't bother. Then we thought, we might try the cafe for lunch but with beans on toast £3.40, breakfast at £7.20 (dearer than some hotels), we decided against. Very over priced for the portion sizes - we saw some people eating. I had wanted to come here for so many months, having heard about the artisans working from there, but was so disappointed. Hardly any there. Perhaps the monthly craft fair is better, but we won't be visiting again. Even the home grown lavender was £8.00 a pot; can get same size of potted lavender at a local nursery for £4.50!
