Enjoyed their Fish Friday meal. Excellent value for money. £13.50 for fish, chips, mushy peas, tartar sauce with a glass of house red. I also added their mushroom and stilton sauce for an extra few pounds and it was worth it. Delicious food set in lovely grounds.
I am French and very fuzzy when eating out. We have been to "The Fisherman's Retreat" restaurant sevral times. Never disappointed. The food is excellent and delicious. My son had the T bone steak, cooked to perfection.

Passed a sign on road and remembered going not long after it opened years ago. The road is a bit windey but beautiful setting high up overlooking Ramsbottom. Staff welcoming, beer fine, v.good menu. Portion sizes were small, especially considering the price, however the food was nice. There were lots of large tables in which slowed service down considerably.
The bakewell tart apparently had homemade jam in it.... I think they must have been running low on supplies as I could barely see or taste
