Brilliant night had for our wedding anniversary on Saturday night. I have been a fussy eater in the past, so it's always a risk for me going in for a set menu but thoroughly enjoyed the way everything was prepared, and actually enjoyed beetroot for the first time!! The sea-bass was delicious and all dishes were complemented perfectly with the drinks - autumnal-style prosecco, golden IPA, fresh rose, full-bodied red, subtle dessert wine and delicious coffee to finish. We'll be back and recommend all to visit and taste the goodness! Well done Matt, keep it up!

Excellent. It's always a risk doing a tasting menu because you end up with things you'd never usually choose from a menu. It shows what a difference good ingredients and knowing what to do with them makes. I had courgettes and actually enjoyed them, for the first time ever. The wine choice was a bit white-centric for my taste but still very good.
We visited Roots on Saturday night & had the most delicious experience. Matt & his staff were engaging, Knowledgeable & didn’t didn’t miss a beat. The food & drink complimented each other perfectly & the detail into the presentation was spot on.
Favourite course - Tough one but the Seabass was outstanding
Favourite drink - Loved them all but had a real soft spot for the Rose.

Visited last night for the first time and absolutely loved it! Really tasty plates of food served on beautiful crockery. The timing of each course was perfect and each dish was delicious with interesting textures and flavours! Loved the wines that matched to each course, the welcome drink was � also! Great service and atmosphere which added to the experience. Thanks for a great night! Will definitely be returning!

First visit to this wonderful gem and were not disappointed. We spent a perfect evening in excellent company with the most amazing food in a really unique and relaxed ambience. A special thank you to Matt and all his staff for their wonderful attention to detail from the moment we arrived which continued throughout the evening. We shall certainly be planning a return. Highly recommended for that something special!

Honestly the best meal we've had in a long time! Every course was so tasty and the crispy lamb skin was amazing (who knew?!). All the wines / beers were lovely and the general ambience of the restaurant was cosy and relaxed. Felt like really good value for money and there's more than enough food especially with all the little extras. We'll definitely be back.
We visited last Saturday and had an exceptional seven courses! Couldn’t fault the food or service and it was an extremely relaxed evening. It was lovely to be able to enjoy fresh food that the Chef clearly cared about and not be rushed - we were there all evening. We will definitely be back soon!

Supper club type experience. Great food, service and value for money. If this had been in centre of manchester it would have been at least twice the price. Lovely food and wine pairings. Will certainly be back.
Loved this experience. The food was amazing from start to finish, and the wine pairings were really well thought through. One of the courses was paired with an IPA which was unusual but couldn't believe how well it went with the food! Loved the little additional touches off the menu like the gazpacho palate cleanser and the homemade amaretti and sour cherry biscuits at the end - you get a lot of food! Definitely recommend booking early as it's a cosy little place and is already really popular after just a few weeks of being open. All in all, it's amazing value for money and a breath of fresh air for Ramsbottom!

This place is more than just a restraunt its an experience! The chef is really pationate about what he does and it shines through in his food! Really friendly and nice atmosphere! A great place to spend an evening in Ramsbottom!

Fabulous restaurant serving Devine food which is beautifully presented. Superb value for money, you won’t find a better restaurant in Rammy. Lovely knowledgable staff. This place really has it all.
