Come here weekly. Great beers, great atmosphere, often have live music which is great. Sometimes a little loud of an evening if you just want to chat.

Really nice pub with a superb choice of real beers and even if you prefer spirits, the quality on offer is great

Had a night out here recently with some friends. Not being an expert on beers I wasn't sure what to expect, but there was a great selection available and the staff were very knowledgeable. They even gave me the opportunity to taste any beers that I was interested in before buying a whole pint. Would definitely visit again, and would personally recommend the 13% beer... it'll knock your socks off.

Excellent choice of ales, and music was really enjoyable - free entertainment and a great way to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon - extended to the evening

Always a great selection of craft beer, spirits and cocktails. Something for all palates, although please don't go in here expecting a pint of Fosters, Strongbow or John Smiths etc as they don't sell commercial dross (a terrific thing). Friendly, accommodating staff. Always annoys me when people leave reviews that are otherwise positive but then have a swipe at the prices (i.e. 'prices were a bit expensive'). Yes. There's a reason why the prices are 'a bit expensive'. It's because the product being sold is really nice as it costs more to make than the mass-produced piss that the soulless large chains pump out. Besides, if money is a problem, toddle around the corner to the local Wetherspoons pub and leave the good stuff to those of us who understand that you get what you pay for 😁.

First time here and really liked it. Real ales and beers from taps in the wall. Good service. Prices a little on the high side. But worth a visit.

Have been here several times now and the staff really are welcoming and know their beer. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and whilst the drinks aren’t the cheapest they are definitely not the usual ales and ciders you get on the big street, and are well worth a try.

Popped along for a quick couple while in town. Sign on the door said private party tonight but as it was 5 we were welcome to pop in. So glad we did as they had some great ales on. Well worth a visit and will definitely be back. Keep up the good work, cheers 🍻

Great choice of beers, ales and ciders. You can try before you buy. The takeaway Keg idea is fantastic. Well worth a visit and looking forward to when reopens with live music. A gem of a place in Rayleigh.

Finally visited here after wanting to go for so long, however lockdowns and other commitments got in the way. When I arrived, it was so much better than I'd anticipated. Great music, lovely atmosphere, great service and an incredible selection of ales and beers to suit all tastes. This really is a hidden gem of Rayleigh and I can't wait to get back in there 👍🍻
