A lovely place to eat in Caversham. I highly recommend it.
There are a lot of places to eat in Caversham and lots of food choices that you could make but, if you get the chance I would highly recommend that you try this restaurant. It is located on the west side of Prospect Street just north of the Caversham Bridge. It is right off the street with a very nice glass window storefront. I walked in without reservations and was able to get a table early one afternoon. I am fairly certain that this was a fluke since the entire place was full not 30 minutes after we sat down. All this is to say, I would recommend calling and making reservations before you visit. You are greeted by a hostess who takes you to your table. The interior has wood floors, tables and chairs, and brick walls. It has a very nice, bright, and clean look to it. The tables are a mix of small and large tables in 3 areas. We were greeted and seated quickly. The menu has many Italian choices. I tried the Fettucini dish and a cider. The food arrived quickly, was a large portion, and was delicious. The waitress was very helpful and efficient. Overall, this was a lovely find for a wonderful dinner in Caversham. I highly recommend it but make reservations ahead of time. Enjoy.

We initially didn't plan on eating Italian on the night we ended up here and I'm glad we did.
Upon our entry we were greeted by the friendly owner who seated right away.
We ordered the Traditional Salad, the Beef Meatballs and the Margherita Pizza.
The salad had a very robust dressing with a nice zest to it.
The Meatballs were smooth and cooked to perfection served with fresh sauce.
The pizza was superb in flavor and the crust was everything I like about pizza: thin & crispy. Just perfect.
The atmosphere was very lively, intimate and can definitely be romantic.
The prices are very reasonable considering the great quality of the food and service.

I recently dined at the authentic Italian restaurant in Reading and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The food was simply luscious and I was blown away by the delicious firewood pizza. The ravioli was, hands down, the best I've ever had. Not only was the food amazing, but the space was also nice and clean. The friendly service only added to the already fantastic experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Italian cuisine. It is truly the best Italian restaurant in Reading.

Amazing food!!! I would attach a photo of the food but it was eaten too quickly :0 Highly recommend you come here if you love pizza, pasta and good vibes.

The restaurant is great, arguably the best in the Caversham part of Reading. The staff was very nice and polite, all the food was delicious, great selection of wines and even a regular house wine tastes good. The atmosphere was quite athletic so it feels almost like you are not in Reading even but in Italy.
Compliment drinks in the end. That was a great dinner.

The food is excellent, pasta is perfect texture. Good variety and desert was well bakanced. And the atmosphere is relaxing where you do not have to rush for the meal and can spend a bit more time there.
Wish they have gnocchi in the menu as well.

One of the real Italian taste restaurant in Reading. Pizza is really taste and also main plates. (Unfortunately Arrabiata pasta is not like Italian style). The restaurant is always clean and tidy, also the toilets. Waiters are really kind and helpful.
It is quite expensive in compare to others but every single penny is absolutely work full (after covid the price raise quite). Lovely place.

The food and service was great but the prices have gone into orbit. Just puts me off dining out anymore. Some items were twice pre COVID but I guess that reflects the wider reality of post Brexit Britain

Had a window seat early for our party of 5. Was lucky enough to try the Barolo which was fab. Excellent vegetarian options.

OK so this is a review of a takeaway as my partner had a first grand daughter 5 days ago so mum, dad and babe not able to eat out yet.
I left a message to say I wanted to place an order and was called back.
The order was placed and ready for collection less that half an hour later and, if you use the Chester Street carpark, there is a back entrance and everything was ready and waiting.
My lady went for the Fettucine al Funghi - creamy garlic mushrooms to you and I. She was blown away by the flavours and I had a taste of what was left and can agree it was SO mushroom flavoured.
I opted for the Penne Arrabbiata con Pollo with a side order of Meatballs.
Starting with the latter they are probably the nicest meatballs I have tasted in my much travelled 68 years.
The Arrabbiata was pretty amazing too with lots of flavour and plenty of meat - speaking purely personally I would have liked a little more sauce but it's a personal thing and the flavours were spot on.
The youngsters opted for pizzas which I'm told were excellent but they were attending to their new princess to focus too much on the food.
I lok forward to visiting the place again and sampling their full menu as the limited takeaway one if pretty good

We went today, with an advanced booking, for my daughter's birthday meal. Very pleased with every aspect of this dining experience.... the booking was speedy, my questions were answered rapidly.... on arrival, the staff were lovely....the food was amazing....one of my favourite things was the restaurant is an average size, is welcoming and friendly but felt private and not intrusive.... this is a difficult balance to sttike especially in a slightly smaller establishment. We are a gentle, private family and felt looked after very well...but could eat and chat. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very good quality, tasty food! Pair this with great service, and I really enjoyed my meal at Quattro. The free aperitif afterwards was also a nice touch. Will definitely be back!

The best Italian for miles - could not recommend more. Delicious and affordable, with friendly staff and great service.

Brilliant Italian restaurant! Second time visiting and we went with a child and infant. We were blown away by the ravioli and carbonara on the first occasion and have to say this time was even better than the first. The staff were brilliant and quick to respond to any requests. Great ambience and clean tables. Service was always perfectly timed and we never felt like we were kept waiting long even though the restaurant was almost full. Yes, it's on the pricier side but think it's definitely worth it. Just note that if you are driving, parking is around the back and slightly tricky to locate first time around, so would need to go a bit further and turn left.

Been visiting here for too many years to mention. A firm favourite with all my family and go there whenever I visit Reading. The food is consistently very good indeed. Staff are welcoming and friendly....Quattros never ever disappoints.

A good Italian restaurant not too far from the centre of Reading.
Had a spaghetti Bolognese which was good.
Decor is also good.
In fact 'good' is the word that best expresses this place.
My only gripe is that the head waiter isn't that friendly, but they're quite civil so there's no problem.
I had come to Papa Gee's which is a highly recommended pizzeria just over the road. But it's closed on Mondays ... so I ended up here.

Consistently good food and service. We are never disappointed, so lucky to have this restaurant as our local.

Another great evening. 14yo bday, family only, 9 of us. Delicious food. We brought a birthday cake so no-one had dessert, but the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks so much, Ossi. We'll be back (again!)
