We always have excellent sandwiches, they are the best around. Yesterday we had the Sunday roast, the rib of beef was very tasty and tender. The pork was also very tender. I had the child's portion as I can't eat much. The roasted vegetables were lovely. The service was very good and staff always very friendly.

One of the best fish and chips I have had. Very busy pub and service felt a bit rushed but it was very efficient.

Myself and my boyfriend had a lovely last minute meal yesterday evening. We had never been before and though the food was lovely, the roast pork was amazing and the staff were so welcoming and polite. We will definitely be back again! Thank you 😊
We visited last night on the way back from Gatwick airport, tired & very hungry the car park full, wondered if we'd get a table - we did after 5 minutes. Friendly helpful staff, delicious food.... going to visit again & recommend...

After a lovely morning spent wandering around at the Trunkwell House Christmas event my friend and I wanted a bite to eat so I suggested The Spring Inn. We weren’t disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was spot on. I will definitely be returning and will have no problem in recommending to friends and family ��

Had a lovely meal here over the weekend (September 2023) everything we ordered was delicious (table of 4 friends - we sat in the “dog friendly” downstairs area! As one of us bought pup. FYI dog friendly downstairs on the right hand side as you walk in). As you can see from my picture… The food was delicious! Cooked to perfection! Generous portion size! Full of flavour! The chicken was extremely tender (unfortunately, it’s rare to find that when we eat out nowadays!). The service was extremely friendly, and they went above, and beyond to cater for one of our group who had a nut allergy! Highly recommend this place :-) the manager, Alan was very hospitable and we really enjoyed his new cocktail menu.
We went there for lunch to meet with just found cousins and the staff were wonderful. They let us stay and chat the afternoon away. They even had my husband taste test their October drink of the month! Wonderful place!
There was a delay in kitchen so food took a while, servers were very proactive about it and provided complimentary drinks. Food is normally amazing but must of been rushed this time.
Delightfully scrumptious food. There are some classic pub favourites done to an exceptional level. The fresh, local ingredients shine through.
To top of the experience the staff are attentive in a way that enhances the experience.
My son took me for Mother's Day lunch! Everything is lovely! Booked for outside meal as the weather is not permitting they were kind enough for us to have the meal inside. Worth every penny that my son spent for the meal.

Exceptional service. Harrison looked after us from the moment we walked in, until we left. He was really caring towards my grandma, making sure she had everything she needed. He could not do enough for us.
Beautiful pub, lovely Xmas decorations and fabulous grand Christmas tree.
Food was very good and menu was very varied.
We did not feel crowded and there were sufficient space between each table.
My only suggestion would be for staff to wear masks. I think this would encourage people to visit, particularly the older generation who are more vulnerable.

The waiting staff this evening were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble and an absolute credit to The Spring Inn.
I needed cheering up and so my friend and I attended for dinner, it was the absolute (gin and) tonic I needed.

The Spring Inn is located on the Bath Road just South of Theale at Junction 12 M4. This is a lovely English country pub. The Inn itself is a characterful building. Going in through the main entrance the bar is located to the left. There is seating for food to the left and to the right. There is also upstairs seating. This is a popular venue that serves good wholesome food. There is a lot of seating but then this place gets busy. The menu offers a good selection of dishes and once ordered your food typically arrives in a timely fashion. The food is good quality, I’ve been a few times and not had a bad food experience. The venue itself is bright and lively with a nice relaxed energy. I would take your partner here for a couples or friends dine out experience. During the summer there is plenty of outside seating. On this occasion there was a cricket match on the green opposite the pub giving a true English country rural feel. During the colder months the inside seating is cosy and relaxed and a little escape from the outside world. The staff are polite and friendly with some banter to be had with the bar staff. I had a lager shandy on the day and asked for diet lemonade. No such luck, apparently that is not the done thing! Cocktails and Pimms to be had and look out for the specials. I’ve been to the Spring Inn a few times and I’ll be going back. Definitely recommended. Give it a go and I hope you enjoy.
Went for a roast, despite being on a main road you can not hear the noise. Lovely spot to have a drink outside to watch the cricket.
The beef was a little bit more well done than I would normally go for but it was a good size roast, the chicken is the one I'll try next time.
The staff were attentive and polite. The food did take a while to arrive. ( we think because there was a big table) plus a staff member did not know what the sauce was that went with the Salmon but we enjoyed ourselves
Great food, salmon, and the beef pie were really good. The only downside was the very sticky tables and dusty light fittings, but hey, ain't all pubs. Would I go again, oh yes, for the food.
We had Main course and desert. Battered Codd Fish Fry and Chips were awesome. Desert was delicious. Ambience and interior looks appealing. Plenty of parking space outside the restaurant. Enjoyed the dinner and time spent there.
Number of items on menu very small and not varied enough. Even then at least two of those were not available. Menu could do with a thorough review. That said what we did have was nice and arrived at the table nice and hot. The staff were very nice.9
