Enjoyed a round a Sonning today under a reciprocal arrangement with my club at Guildford. We were made extremely welcome, and the Pro even rearranged our round to ensure we made swift progress. Course is well maintained with sufficient interesting features to ensure fair, but challenging holes. Greens receptive and in good condition. Enjoyed the bar afterwards, with good selection of beer. Great golf course, we had a very warm welcome, and we're looked after really well.

The course was in superb condition,greens were quick and deceptive with many subtle borrows, we were a double society and the bar and waiting staff were friendly and efficient and coped very well, however the starter needs to go on a customer service course.

This year Sonning Golf Club our golf society Championship that was played over 36 holes that was accompanied with lunch and a 3 course meal.
Located of Duffield road to the East side of Sonning. This golf course is picturesque, well maintained, challenging but sometimes unforgiving. Greens are faster than most other courses but they all run true. If there was one criticism about the golf course it would be the bunkers are inconsistent with the sand depth and they host some large stones.
The course has a modern club house with a spiked lounge and bar along with a members bar (dress rules do apply) and a dining area. The food was absolutely delicious and portions sizes were good and the drinks where no overly priced. The best thing about the club house was the staff. They were friendly, helpful and me you feel like you were part of the club.
The course also hosts a small club shop for all your golfing needs as well as a small practice area and putting green that run close to or similar to the course greens.
All in all my golf score was not the best but I thoroughly enjoyed my day and will definitely be back.

Well presented venue equally good for both golfing and fine dining! Also if you are looking for a place to have your wedding or special celebration, this is the place with the best view around.

An excellent location with very well managed restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed Xmas lunch with our friends. The food was delicious, served at the right temperature and efficient service from the hardworking staffs. The place looks fab with great ambience!
