Best Indian in reading! Amazing food!
We’ve always ordered from Alamin since we moved to TMX. The lamb is so tender 😍. Everything we have tried from Alamin has always been great. Big portions too and they always give a free gift whether that’s a poppadom or a side dish. Good value for money.
I would also just like to say thank you for our little surprise in our takeaway bag the other week. It was very lovely of you :)
Alamin has been one of the best if not the best Indian takeaway in Reading for years now. Consistent quality and good portions.
I've knocked one star off because they are getting very expensive. HoneyLicious on its own (no rice or anything else) is now almost £14 which is what good sit down restaurants charge.
So for a starter and main for 2 people, look at spending about £50 which is the cost of a starter, Sunday lunch and drinks at a good pub.
I think for Alamin, they need to restrain the prices and maintain the quality and portions.
I would order more but at £50 a pop, it's an expense I can do without...

Great service cooked hot and, promptly and fresh, and friendly chat while waiting for food made the time pass so quickly I was not ready when it came ;-)

Have tried many Indian takeaway food places in the UK, as I travel a lot and I have just found my best place all the food was 5 star tasting and hot on delivery will be back when in the Reading area again thanks for taking the time in producing quality Indian cuisine.
HGV driver from Manchester, parked up for the night and walked from my truck to this place. The guy who greeted me shook my hand straight away and asked me several questions about my day and work. On realising I’d had a tough day in the heat he reached into the fridge and passed me a freezing cold can of tango and said this is on the house. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. He even rounded it down a couple of quid for me. Great guy, great food and overall a smashing curry house.
Highly recommended. The food is very delicious, fresh and of great quality. I’ve tried the masala chicken with Pashwari and pilau rice, was on point! In addition, people working there are very kind, friendly and hospitable! The price in relation to the quality of the food is very good. You get some discount when you pick up from restaurant. The only thing missing is some tables for dining in.
Went here tonight for the first time and I'm really impressed with the food. Plus really friendly staff. This will be my go to Tandoori takeaway from now on.

Curry’s and service was spot on, been using these guys for a while now, I can see most of the complaints have come from an Asian minority about the food not tasting how it should be but after all this is an contemporary Indian takeaway after all if you are looking for something traditional then you will have to travel out of reading not unless your mother or wife is cooking 😁 I am going to start leaving reviews about everywhere I have experienced so be prepared 😎 I would like to thank the staff at Alamin Tandoori for looking after me in the past years!
I have been a customer of the Alamin for over 15 years and I will only order from them as they are the best Indian take away in Reading. I believe that they are true restaurant quality as I have visited restaurants here in Reading and have been very dissapointed when compared to the Alamin's food. The food is always spot on, delicious, fresh, not overly loaded with ghee. Their customer service is amazing. I have never been disappointed with any order for over 15 years, I think that says it all as to their quality and service. Thank you for your wonderful food and service.
Very good takeaway with set meals and lots of choice. Staff are friendly and courteous. This is my favourite Indian takeaway in Reading.
Never had a problem with them always been great and food is really nice.....brilliant in fact....i order online and you know when your has been taken.and when on the way ....top notch...would recommend
