Absolutely delicious, authentic portuguese experience! Especially dorada was to die for (but very salty, so if thats not your taste - be warned).
Delicious! service and food was awesome. Additionally, it is not expensive. A very recommended restaurant in Reading, where you will find lovely people and delicious food. Definitely coming back.
Our first visit, and what a memorable one. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or welcoming, despite us arriving late and the kitchen being on the point of closing. The food quality and the standard of cooking was exceptional. That, and the normal generously sized helpings, as is the Portuguese norm, left us full and very satisfied. It was the sixtieth birthday for one of our party an, to round the meal off, all of the staff paraded to our table with a cake, singing "Happy Birthday." It's a pity that the The Reading Room in The Roseate didn't extend the same welcome on the previous evening, despite being aware it was a sixtieth birthday. Full marks to O Português and we are looking forwards to our next visit.

This place is amazing and the food is literally special. I’m Italian and I can say that this rice was so good. Recommend everyone to come here. The Staff is also great!
There is a bit of Portugal in Reading. It is called O Portugues. Amazing food that tastes great. Friendly and efficient service. This was our first visit but we will be back soon.

We loved it. Having lived in Portugal and my wife being Portuguese, this is the closest we've come to being back in Lisbon for a long time. We had a mix of meat and fish dishes as well as a number of entradas, all were great and the family that run the restaurant are lovely. Highly recommended.

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing cocktails and great place. What more can you ask. We were blown away by how amazing the service was and how kind all the staff were. Unfortunately we couldn't finish our meal with the rest of the party as my daughter was unwell. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. When we for home we could finally enjoy the food and it delicious and portions were generous. Thank you all to the staff for being so amazingly kind tonight and hats off to the chefs.
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere!
I was there for a quick lunch and have to say for a Portuguese was good but not great . I was expecting a bit better quality presentation for the good. The taste was good but again they could do better
I will hopefully try to go again and see if it was because of the time I went.
