Although quite busy, this was a nice area to while away an hour or so after a visit to the hospital. The wind off the lake was rather a chill blow but there are several paths, trails and playground amenities for the children too. The cafe also overlooks the lake and offers rest and refreshment to the visitor.
There is plenty of car parking but you might have to adjust your first thought as they are scattered around the parkland.
The wildlife is plentiful and worth a watch as the swans, geese and other birds glide and fly around the water and tree lines.
Family friendly (watch out for the bikes), a good place to spend some time while visiting the area.

Nice restaurant for drinks &eats I've now reached the grand old age of 81yrs will be 82 later this year. I'm lucky to be able to walk quite a few miles without any trouble. Will be glad when things get back to normal, and I'm able to take my holidays abroad again. This year it's Devon not Cornwall but looking forward to a holiday

Lovely park with lots of space and loads to do for families with young children. The play areas were very impressive, lots of playground features for babies and youngsters and then a much bigger area with an awesome spiral slide for the bigger kids.
Beautiful scenes if it's not family friendliness you're looking for. The lake is gorgeous and green fields are well kept.

Absolutely stunning park.
Even on a saturday there was so much space to play and have a wonderful picnic on the grass.
We ended up staying for 4 hours. And it was free parking 👍🏻❤️

A very pleasant walk around the lake on a flat tarmac surface for all of it or dirt path in some places. Under trees or open as well so nice in most weathers. Very dog friendly, but they are required to be on lead - take a long retracting lead is best. Takes about an hour to walk around with no real effort. Good cafe and kiosk at one side. Lots of parking near to splendid play areas at the centre. Not much signage which means you have to know its there. Redditch sailing club use it several days a week, so it must get windy at times! Not on my visit though! Enjoy!

Family friendly country park with good amenities. Excellent playground, although it gets very busy on weekend afternoon. Clean toilets in the visitor centre, could do with more frequent checks on the weekend. Good number of picnic tables. Varied terrain in the park, some flat areas good for football. The park is well located for Redditch and near morrisons for picnic food. A lidl is nearing completion by the entrance to the park.
