Reviews Denny's

Visited Denny's for a late breakfast on a weekday. We were seated within about 8 minutes. Order was taken soon after being seated. We then waited over half an hour for our Grand Slams (hence the drop of one star). Staff, though friendly enough, needs better training (on dealing with customers, health & safety and cleaning too. See pictures of random chair stuck behind door to the loos, and wrong kind of cleaning cloth with that type of cleaner etc). Simply put Hillington Denny's is not to the standard of America's by any means (speaking as someone who grew up going to Denny's at all hours of the day and night). But that all being said, it is a newly opened establishment so will give them some leeway. Bottom line, the food was pretty good overall, so yeah I would, and will, go back for another Grand Slam before too long. Hopefully their service will improve.

1st time visiting this Denny's, been in the states and this didn't disappoint. Seated within 10 mins and drinks order taken straight away. Both mains arrived in good time and were delicious. Huge portions but staff were happy to provide a box to put let overs in. Never ending coffee that just reminded me of America. Waiting staff were very attentive and friendly, especially Kimberly. Would definitely highly recommend.

Friendly service and some good food faithfully recreating Denny’s in the US. It took me back to those pit stops at the restaurant when I have been driving around the US. Good quality food and a reasonable price, however I was surprised there were some things from the normal experience that could have been such as sourdough bread and creamer rather than milk for the coffee.

The wait to get a table was well worth it, as the service was excellent and could not be faulted. The food was even better all cooked perfectly and the taste was excellent. My lumberjack meal had very tasty ham, eggs, toast, sausages and bacon complemented by two delicious fluffy pancakes, heaven on a plate. When we arrived the que was out of the door and we nearly went some where else, I am glad that we stayed as this is one restaurant chain we will keep returning to, well done to all the staff for their hard work.

Denny's is a huge US diner chain. This looks and feels like the real deal compared to our experiences in America. So, not to everybody's tastes. Our server (Connor) was knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. A real asset to this outlet. Food is freshly cooked and can take a few minutes to arrive. We had the two Empire State Stacks at £9.99. That's 170 calories times 10 before (unlimited) maple syrup. This is free if you can demolish it within 35 minutes. Of course, we failed, but it was fun trying. So, a fantastic and delicious dish; or, disgusting if you are a dainty eater.

During my visit all their tablets and order systems had went down causing a delay in food going out. Management was amazing, gave us a complimentary dish while we waited and took an email from all effected to offer vouchers for future visits as an apology. Who we assumed to be the manager( think her name was Kelly )was fantastic and attentive and all staff were very polite. After being to the diner while in America was soo pleased with the food and service. Loved it

A long wait for a table, 90 mins quoted (only took an hour) and they text you to let you know your table is ready so you can go to braehead or hang about. Once seated, quick drinks service, the wait for our food order took a while but when taken no issues, all came as ordered. Was about 20 mins from ordering til it arrived and it was a very good breakfast, very close to a US Dennys. Clearly are teething issues, the service was slower than you'd like and they seemed to be only running about 3/4 full but better this than overstretch themselves so early on. Give it a few weeks for the staff to get up to speed and the initial buzz to wear down and they could be onto a winner. Price wise, think the us menu but in pounds, not dollars.

The food was great, very American sized portions! I got one of the pancake options so you get 2 huge pancakes and a side plate with eggs & either bacon, sausage or both! Bottomless coffee too and refillable soft drinks. There was a bit of a wait for a table which seems to always be the case but the food is worth the wait.

Had a very authentic feel, I've visited Dennys in Florida, NYC and Las Vegas and the food was as good! Think the staff struggled with how busy it was, but that could be due to being short staffed too. Overall an excellent visit and would highly recommend.

Heard bad things about Denny's, but we still wanted to check it out as we loved it when we visited the US. We were there early and there were already a few tables being served. We were sat down quickly, served attentively (my bottomless coffee filled when needed) and food served promptly. Food was well made and cooked and no complaints here. We'll be back!

Visited various Denny's in the States and was keen to try this one on a trip to Glasgow, I was a little apprehensive about trying this one due to the bad reviews but we loved it and had a cracking breakfast with proper hash browns and some lovely fluffy buttermilk pancakes Cant wait to visit again shame we live about 300 miles away so hoping Denny's open a few more in the uk
