Beautifully cooked food. Thick juicy steak cooked to perfection, home made pie & hand cut chips delicious. Home made Raspberry cheesecake was Amazing .....gorgeous!! !!

First visit for the 'Fun At The Fair Afternoon Tea' for two. Good selection of food, nice change & enjoyed my both. The pints were crisp, cold & refreshing.
Unfortunately 2 little negatives. Firstly, our table was booked for 2pm we arrived around 5 to there were only 2 other tables occupied, we waited 40 minutes for our food, I understand if places are busy but there was literally 13 people including us in there, burgers & hot dog rolls were quite crunchy so not overly fresh/just cooked.
Secondly we never got offered the tea/coffee that was included in the £16.95 per person, but we were still charged for it, which I thought was abit off.
Excellent food at good prices. This was our first time dining at The Restaurant. The good bits - it's local, good prices, delicious food, staff were friendly. The bads - slow service, food took a long time to come out (starvin'), and the atmosphere was very quiet for a Saturday.
Will definitely visit again!
I've just been to pie and pea night food magnificent as usual also had Sunday lunch as well a couple of times. The lamb is too die for. I'm going to try breakfast on Sunday
Family of 5 called last minute so glad we did. 3 Sunday lunch, 1 salmon and 1 cheeseburger all great. Service was excellent didn't catch the young ladies name very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Pie night...what a treat. We had the Homemade minced beef and onion and the gammon, leek and cheese. The pastry was amazing. All came served with hand cut chips and Mushy Peas. Delicious!!! The young lady serving was very chatty, informative and attentive. We will definitely be returning.

This place is sheer perfection. I had a prawn linguine some time back, but the menu is so creative that it often changes. I requested the same dish and had to cancel bookings several times due to my being ill and busy with work, yet, even though it wasn't on the current menu, they made sure I had what I really wanted.
A really special place, with fabulous food that makes a savoury-based lady crave their dessert! A unique touch...I was even helped to the toilet as I had crutches. I cannot say enough good things about this place! You must visit!

I sampled many menu items in the near two weeks I stayed at the Renishaw Rooms. Staff are welcoming, warm and friendly. Food is fantastic with high-quality ingredients expertly prepared by a chef who cares about and loves the art of cooking. Wednesday is pie and a pint night for a tenner - a bargain and a steal at the price. Give your tastebuds a treat if you're in the area.

Oh my days!!!!! I’m such a picky eater and everything has to be perfect!! otherwise it’s just a waste of calories!! If you are looking for gastro perfection then this is the place for you!!!!! The food is freshly cooked and piping hot! We have been twice in a week now. Once for our sons birthday mid week and today for Sunday lunch (my partner has a ‘Sunday pie’ with all the trimmings! The Yorkshire puddings are to die for! The ladies that own / work here are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble! Will definitely be eating here often. Well done!!!!!
