My partner and I had four happy days and nights staying, eating, drinking and having fun here . The food and service was amazing, great atmosphere, very kind and helpful staff. Our room was clean, comfortable and quaint . Management and staff couldn’t have done more for us . Thank you , we’ll be back soon for another delicious dinner . Nic and Caroline.

When making the booking I explained I wanted an afternoon tea for two and one of us was a child. I was asked if we wanted jam sandwiches, I did not. The bread was stale on the edges. The fillings were lacking. Cheese and pickle? I’ve tasted more cheese on public transport! Oh and they only gave enough cream for half a scone. HALF A SCONE! If you want coffee with this you had better order several as they don’t give you a pot, that was for the tea and I hate tea. The chocolate moose things on top, in shot glasses? Yeah that was a bad move because not only did they not give anything to eat it with but they don’t have a spoon small enough to fit to the bottom of the shot glass. I also thought it was a bit pricey considering I generally pay £15 for 2 people but no these guys charged almost £30. Edit: I had a call yesterday from a member of staff at the herbalist to let me know they had seen my review. They apologised for over charging me and offered to email me with a voucher for their Christmas afternoon tea. I haven’t received an email. Hence changing this review to one star. Edit 2: I was offered a voucher for an afternoon tea for two which I kindly took them up on their offer. I’m glad I did as the experience was a much better one. The food was freshly prepared and tasted amazing. The staff went above and beyond to rectify the previous issue.

Absolutely love The Herbalist. They have a great selection of beers and some really imaginative cocktails. We visit regularly and the service is second to none. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and very friendly. Highly recommended for food as well.

Very good service, really nice range of food, and the quality is very very good - which really matters. A very good selection of wines, and cocktails. Very nice enviros too, a courtyard as well as separate Restaurant. Quite lovely.

Popped in here on a Sunday afternoon, although it was a little quiet the service and experience was fabulous. We had a starter and main course. Food came quickly and was nicely hot. Presentation and quality was very good. Staff was very attentive. Reasonably priced. (not pub grub!). Worth eating out here 😋👍👍

Went here for my daughters 18th birthday with a party of 12. Great food, well run and good value for money. If you're thinking about having a meal here for just two people or for a larger group I would definitely recommend it.

Popped in for a quick lunchtime drink. Big open spaces with cozy booth-like tables. Lunchtime menu available, pasta-based since the pub appears to be owned/run by Dante's restaurant behind it. Pretty high tables with associated seats, so be warned. Friendly staff. Didn't stay for food. A bit on the pricey side but nice clean environment.

Really nice but music just a bit loud so you couldn't hear each other properly. It's a cocktail / wine bar so it doesn't need the volume of a club

We visited The Herbalist In February for our works team away day, 20 of us had dinner & it couldn't have been better! the service was brilliant!Chloe, Issy, Bronte & Flipper were on hand for anything we needed, the food was very good & all came out together even in such a big group! We will definitely visit again, we had a lovely evening. The bar is set out well with plenty of room even for our rowdy lot! Thankyou to all the staff! see you soon!

Used to be the White Hart and very much full of drunk locals. Now it has decent lighting, security and isn't over crowded. The atmosphere was relaxing. Wait staff come to your table to bring drinks and the range of drinks is good. The outside area occupies the whole of what was White Hart Yard. It looked lovely and they offer blankets when it turns cooler later on in the evening

Excellent quality and quantity. A few vegan options, could do with some more. But overall a great experience! Thanks!
