Visited The Sussex on a Friday evening for a bite to eat. Food was good, especially for a weatherspoons. I had a mixed grill with a side of halloumi fries. The service was quick and employees full of smiles.
The Sussex being in a seaside resort does have a mixture of people and there are large groups and families that were there so it’s safe to say that everyone is welcome. There’s several rooms some quieter than others.

Food took literally 10 minutes to be delivered to our table from ordering, we're very helpful and kind to myself and my family. Other customers were polite and friendly, just here and there it got a bit noisy and rowdy while my children were trying to eat but that is no fault of the staff themselves. I enjoyed my food and so did my family, my partner was very happy with the value as well as the quality and quantity

Absolutely great meal at the Sussex the other day. 3 meals and drinks £26 absolute bargain, the fish was massive and very tasty.
The guy who served me also knew how to pour a Guinness and not rush it

We went in for a late breakfast and although the service was lovely, the food arrived tepid (although it was cooked sufficiently), and the locals in the bar were rather depressing. The vibe we got was a bit down, and didn't really enjoy the visit, although the food filled a hole if a little cold for our liking.
There is plenty of disabled parking on the street around the corner, and easy access to the entrance to the venue

Very fast service. Couldn't specify medium rare on mixed grill steak for some reason? Dark in places and less character than some but clean enough. Staff were efficient. Would use again.

Really nice freindly staff,had 2 sessions in here,a session for me is only 3 or 4 pints.. still..I was mainly here for a Robert Plant concert which was great..I haven't been to Rhyl since I was a kid at least 45 years, crazy ain't it.. I will be back again, probably this year..
