After living in the UK for a year, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Pier 1 Fish & Grill, an exceptional seafood restaurant that stands out from the rest. One remarkable feature that sets it apart is their refreshing policy of not including a service charge on the bill – a rarity in this part of the world. From the moment we entered, the staff welcomed us with open arms and genuine smiles. Their super friendly and attentive service made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Now, the real star of the show - the delectable seafood dishes. We indulged in two scrumptious options: the fried haddock and the grilled scallops. Both dishes showcased the quality and freshness of the ingredients used. The haddock was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside yet tender and flaky within. The grilled scallops were succulent, seared just right to maintain their delicate flavors. In summary, Pier 1 Fish & Grill Restaurant is an amazing place that left a lasting impression on us. If you're in the mood for a seafood feast with top-notch service, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit. Trust me; you won't be disappointed.

She went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. Her attentive and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. Amazing place that myself and my companion just happened upon. I thought, that because it was in Richmond it would be expensive and have small portions, but I was wrong. Huge fish with loads of chips and one of the best mugs of tea I've had out and all go a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit and I'll definitely be going back.

Food fantastic, cod and chips, light and crispy batter, big flakes of cod when cut or put fork into fish, chips and crispy outside soft inside, neither were greasy at all, would happily go back. Decor is tidy, and everything OK, nothing to wow, but still nice, stopped by chance when passing and glad we did. Well done to staff, all polite, and looked happy to serve people.

Place not very cozy the staff is nice but pity a little in the hygiene . Good place where you can eat very good fish and chips especially grilled fish .

We made a trip out to Richmond for the Kew Gardens and ended up exploring the high street. We felt like having fish and chips for lunch - this place was highly rated on Google. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint! The service was excellent, and we had the sweetest waitress. The fish was well fried and also well grilled - my hubby got the fried fish and chips while I got the grilled cod and veggies. Both very tasty and satisfying! Would definitely recommend this place for fish and chips if you're out in Richmond!

Best fish and chips ever!!! fresh fish makes all the difference... Best Dover sole I've eaten in my life! was cooked to perfection... my dinner companions had cod & haddock which were equally the best we'd ever tried. I honestly couldn't reccomend this place enough.

I came here based on a recommendation. I normally do not like fish and chips because I spear fish for fresh fish and use a recipe by Alton Brown. Most fish and chips is just too oily. The fish and chips was excellent. I had a starter and dessert based on what was recommendation while looking over the menu. The halibut fried fish was delicious, crispy, yet soft and fresh. The salt and pepper squid and prawns was a nice start. The sticky pudding with toffee ice cream was warm, smooth and sweet. Staff was cordial. I had a chance to chat with Chef Billy who has a wonderful story. It is always nice to feel special, receiving a nice warm greeting and hello. Sad to say but rare in these busy days.

It was the only non-salty fish and chips I had in London. You'll know at first bite that it's a fried fish cooked with very fresh fish. And it was very reasonable prices! I strongly recommend it!

I was on the hunt for fish & chips while I was out exploring Kew Gardens & Richmond when Pier 1 popped up. The piece of fish was so big and had the perfect amount of crisp on the outside - nice amount of chips too. Would definitely recommend if you have a craving for fish & chips!

Best Fish and Chips in London! Great portions size, friendly service, yummy food! Dine-In or takeaway always so good;never been disappointed. Apologies for not the best picture; as soon as my meal arrived, I got so excited dug in right away. 🙂

The best Fish and Chips restaurant in London. The staff are very friendly and nice especialy Brooke . The fish is very fresh and flakey, the portion is very generous, we couldn't finish the chips. We tried lots of seafood restaurants in London, in our opinion this is the best one.

Excellent fish and seafood. Fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked. The decor was very nice, everything looked spotless the seats were comfortable and the interior was bright and airy. The staff were accommodating and the service was good. Overall it was a great lunch.

By far one of the best fish 'n' chips I've ever had 🤤 We ordered whitebait, tempura prawns and squid and haddock n chips and all were yum and fresh. The haddock flaky, just as it's meant to be. Great food and ambience. Easily the best in the Richmond area!!

I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of fish & chips but Pier 1 seems to have become a regular haunt for our family. Even better because the traditional fish and chips is only a part of their menu. If, like me, you're not a fan of the fried & battered variety, Pier 1 has plenty of delicious treats for you. The bruschette is a particular favourite (pictured) and lobster (when available) is too good not to order. The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food is delicious and the restaurant is always clean and well presented. A long way detached from the greasy spoon establishments that are synonymous with the British chippy.
