We went here for my dad's birthday. Such delicious food and kind staff. A member of our family had dietary requirements and they were more than happy to accommodate. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Definitely return when we're next in Richmond!
5 🌟 plus. Fantastic and very tasty food and the Cobra beer was ice cold just how I like it. staff were extremely professional and inviting. Well worth paying a visit with your family or on your own. would highly recommend to try this restaurant out. I will be going again for sure.
Very friendly obliging waiter. Delicious food.
Our meal was really delicious; the service was friendly and prompt (great when you have a hungry 6 year old and 9 month old with you!). The staff were also able to advise on suitable dishes for our food allergies. I'd recommend this place.
It's a Bangladesh restaurant, thought it was Indian, the waiter explained.
The best lamb biryani so far. Freshly cooked, lamb soft, taste is sooo good. Fish bhuan is the same freshly cooked however, i tasted the tomatoe and bell pepper they've used are not fresh, it's one of those pre chopped and kept in fridge. They should smell it before using it coz i tasted it and i have to spit it out from my mouth. I can tell if the food is fresh or reheated from microwave, as well as if vegetables are fresh or not. Other than that everything is perfect... The price is worth it, for that 2 dishes it cost me £26, service charge NOT included. So i can imagine for dine in they might include service charge on top. If u are looking for quality food, this is the right restaurant. Realistically speaking, there's no more quality food for a low price. Just sit down and relax in this restaurant and enjoy ur food...👍
Fantastic staff really good food and good price the Owner Taj was really warm and inviting. Already booked for Saturday night. Best indian food i have had up north. Keep up the great food and hospitality
Visiting Richmond first time. Booked table arrived to be escorted to our table. Lovely waiter Adam looked after us. Food was by far the best we have ever had. However the bill was a huge shock £57.00 turns out we had been charged over £21 for a bottle of house wine. My astonishment clearly showed and the folks at the next table were also astonished. Being fair to Adam he did soften the blow with a free drink, a large glass of red and a Whisky for my Husband. Lovely place and food but be VERY WEARY of the price of drinks and check the price before you order.
Food and service were excellent, staff friendly and helpful. MThe bill was surprisingly higher than expected. Can't really grumble, but you can expect to pay £30-35 per head for mains and a couple of beers. 4.5 would be my award if .5 were available.
Best Indian restaurant in Richmond, nice wines and good service. Food is exceptional and well presented. No frills but great chilled atmosphere. Prices competitive.
Always a good meal from the Taj Mahal, have been here many times. The restaurant itself could do with redecorating as it's looking tired and I don't remember them ever taking card in the years I've been going (always told the machine is coming next week - ok then). But, the staff are always friendly, the meals are always plentiful, extremely tasty and reasonably priced and they have a loyalty card scheme too, which is a bonus. What more could you ask for from a good local curry house? (except a lick of paint and a cash machine perhaps!)
