Fantastic little cafe and shop selling many artisan delicatessen delights and produce.
The owner Gary is a wonderful host and a very interesting chap. Great knowledge of the area and beyond. Enjoyed a great chat.
He then looked us a delicious breakfast of top quality local produce.
Would thoroughly recommend this place and would love to visit again.
Fantastic independent cafe and grocer. Dogs welcome. We had spiced vegetable soup and (by far) the best cheese scone I have ever tasted! Great interesting conversation with the owner too - a true gem (owner and establishment) and highly recommended.
Friendly service. Bottomless cup of coffee and tasty scone. Can't do better than that! Note that this is a small and rather intimate cafe. One large table and a counter with stools means lots of interaction with your fellow coffee drinkers.
A lovely little deli, the owner was straightforward and helpful, not at all rude as others have suggested. Coffee was excellent and food varied and delicious. Would come again.
Excellent food in an intimate environment, a table surrounded by a shelves of I-want grocery items, with added good-humoured conversation. Healthily portioned sandwiched with home-roasted ham, a variety of soups and pies, flans and salads are all available. Cakes and scones also delightful and homemade. A very very decent cup of coffee which is endless during your stay to boot.
Look foreword to theFarmers Day Saturday. Great place, amazing bottomless Coffee. Gary's homemade Chicken, Bacon and Leek pie is to die for.
As for the homemade Quiches ( or flans as Gary calls them).
The coffee, the chat. Well worth a visit.
V friendly service serving extremely tasty food. Sausage roll with caramelised onion is a new favorite. Salad boxes or sandwiches constructed from the wide range of ingredients available are always winners. Eat in (cramped but cosy) or take away (why not visit Castle Walk round the back of the castle and dine with a view to remember) you'll be coming back for more. Unquestionably the best take-out food in Richmond.
Amazing food. Good atmosphere, loved the communal table. Great idea. Portions were generous. All three of us thought the food was outstanding. Will be back.
Larger selection of teas, homemade lunches, lovely owner, straight forward and no nonsense! Great cheeses and other deli items available too!
Brilliant shop, the shop owner was great fun and a good laugh. Very much recommend this shop, the food is amazing!! Going again ASAP
