Great place, just off the Scotch Corner. Nice interior, plenty of spaces to sit. The staff are very friendly and helpful regarding the menu. The food was served piping hot, which in my book is a must! Price wise, I'd say respectable for what we had. And considering that we were driving back to Scotl

Overnighted here on my way to Scotland in my campervan. Easy to find and access. The landlord was very welcoming and the pub is pleasant. Can't comment on the food as didn't eat. It's close to the A66 so there is road noise if you have roof vents or windows open. Would stay here again

Came across this fantastic pub on "search for sites" while looking for somewhere to stop on our way up to Scotland in our motorhome. Lovely pub just off A66, beautiful views, delicious food, friendly service! We stopped by for late Sunday roast before heading south and it was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed an excellent Sunday roast here having arrived after the kitchen had closed. Martin the landlord went out of his way to make sure I had a meal. This is a proper British pub with a fantastic friendly team serving brilliant food and beers.
