An attractive and interesting house with very helpful guides in each room .
We enjoyed walking around the walled garden, lake ,park land and woods.
The tea room serves cakes, sandwiches, salad pots and cakes . Food can be eaten in the tearoom or taken away for a picnic in the grounds. The food was delicious.
There was plenty of parking space .
A lovely day out

Excellent tour of house by the volunteers. Great walk around the grounds, including the wooden sculptures on the lakeside. Tearoom is lovely with drinks served in china cups and Excellent choice of cakes. We've purchased a years ticket as there is more to do here than one visit and we have plenty of friends who will appreciate the tea rooms and gardens. Excellent choice for vegan cakes.

A beautiful fantastic house and gardens, the guides were great with excellent knowledge about the ins and outs of the main house. The gardens were lovely to walk round. After the walk grab a coffee and cake in the cafe. If you are in the area, call in you won't regret it.

Lovely house with plenty of history and evidence of great adventures of previous owners with artifacts and trinkets, furniture and maps. Volunteer guides who we very knowledgeable in the rooms available to answer any questions. The grounds and lake were beautiful. Inside the walled garden where they grow the flowers and vegetables to use in the house was impressive

Took some friends here for the day. It was our first visit, and we all loved it. We spent 5 hours looking round the grounds and house. We had lunch in the tea room, which was very nice too. I was using a mobility scooter and managed to get around most of the grounds. There were just a couple of places, a bridge going towards the lake and the start of the boardwalk where I had a little trouble getting the scooter on. A very pleasant day. I will definitely be back.

Bit early in the year for the garden but we did the house. What a lovely place and the guides were really friendly and helpful. Only one down side was by lunch time the cafe was crammed so we couldn't stay to eat. Which was a real shame as the cakes looked amazing. Aim to come back in the summer

Very informative room guides and many interesting items and collections. Also good to see some un-restored rooms kept in the state they were in at a particular time in history. The walled garden should look great later in the growing season.

An amazing tranquil place Where you are made welcome by the friendly and knowledgeable volunteers as you enter the front door. The place has a homely feel to it and do not miss out on having something to eat and drink in the marvellous tea room which serves fantastic home made meals and cakes with very helpful waitress service must go again. I cannot praise this place enough.

We started with lunch in the tearoom. Falafel and houmous wrap with a great side salad of carrot, pea, broccoli and sesame seed, a ginger beer and a slice if lemon cake for me. The boys had scones and sandwiches. All served on vintage china.
We will return to sample the homemade ice cream, made with the fruits grown in the grounds.
The house is refreshingly homely. The staff know when to assist and don't overdo the history lesson. No need when the information is to hand in every room. We felt welcome and relaxed. Surprised to spot a crocodile in the top floor!
The gardens were in the grip of a very late season, but even the very early sprouts of life were a delight for this amateur gardener. I will return to see everything in fruit and flower soon.
Just a side note, they didn't offer us the annual membership pass, which is very good value. We should have taken this opinion, and most likely will next time.

My wife and I visited this hidden gem for the first time today. We were very impressed with the attentative tea room staff , quality of food (especially the gluten free option) and how welcoming all the staff were that we met. The stunning gardens and beautiful lake walk was a lovely end to our visit. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

I am totally biased about Kiplin Hall as my 2 x Gt Grandfather was head keeper there for over 20 years in the late 1800's. I feel very connected to the place. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was over 20 years since I had last visited and so the differencevwas enormous - all to the good.

We had a fantastic afternoon at Kiplin Hall yesterday. My 5yr old had a great time digging for treasure and looking for dragons. The walk around the lake was lovely and the cakes and service in the tearoom were exceptional. We will certainly re-visit.
