Sadly, this was possibly the worst food I ever paid for and expensive too for what it was.
The list goes on:
We ordered rarebit on muffin with salad and chutney, and an additional portion of chips. It took fifty minutes to arrive, it consisted of a muffin cut in half with four slightly toasted slices of wensleydale cheese. That cost £7.50. Oh, and no chutney.
The queue to order stretched right across the restaurant at one point. There was an air of chaos about the place with no sense of order. Most of the staff seemed to be very young and inexperienced with nobody obviously in charge. Gordon Ramsey would have gone nuts.
I would have complained and sought a refund, if I'd felt it would have helped, but I'm guessing the staff already knew the problems and were doing their best in what was probably a Saturday job for most.
Let me give you another example; my partner went to the counter and ordered two cold drinks located from the fridge just behind the counter. The lad filled out an order slip, why?, took the money ran it through the till, and said they'd be brought out. Ten minutes later the two drinks were delivered out to our table in the garden by the same lad.
It needs good food relative to the prices, organising, speedier service times, tables cleared and cleaned, tidy the garden, cut the grass, more vegetarian options and a much less amateur, chaotic feel.
Please save your time, money, and culinary expectations and go elsewhere.
The chips were nice enough though, and the location is great.

Excellent cafe, food is delicious and good value. Can't believe all the new changes currently being put in place. Lovely outdoor seating areas and lots of space for kiddies to run about. Great family cafe and dog friendly too. We always pay a visit when visiting the area. New owners are lovely and always willing to please.

Very friendly staff and really welcoming. Dogs are welcome too. The coffee is very good and the cheese scones are brilliant. I have been a couple of weeks in a row now and really enjoyed it. The small shop inside is great too selling craft beers, gins and rum.

Saturday morning breakfast. Scrambled eggs on muffin were cooked to perfection, sausages with fried egg on white roll was huge (and delicious), traditional Yorkshire breakfast had some of the biggest sausages ever and the vegan breakfast (not shown on the menu specifically but easily available on request) was great, wouldn't change anything in it. Staff were great, friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Didn't have long to wait at all as there wasn't a queue when we arrived at 9.30 but shortly afterwards it was out the door ... obviously popular but lots of space inside and just outside.

Really friendly staff and great food at affordable prices. On the entrance gate says closed Mondays and Tuesdays but was open today. Must ask about new opening hours.

Had a lovely breakfast here this morning. Great produce . Staff need to be told to clear tables one table had dirty dishes on from before we went in and was still not cleared when we left! This was despite numerous staff walking past empty handed after delivering food to other customers. Also one tea bag in a pot fir 2 people is a but stingy.

I was there at the weekend. The place looked amazing but that’s pretty much where it ended. The tables weren’t full but somehow it was overwhelmed. From what I saw the food looked good. I never got mine though. Left very disappointed.
