Loved it here. Huge menu, with some great, authentic choices. Really good flavors. Excellent complimentary chips and dips! Glad to report that they serve Coca Cola products!

Great customer service for a first time patron. Chips and salsa were not bad however the steak quesadillas were bland. The steak was chewy as well. Perhaps I got a bad batch? However I plan on going back and trying something different.

The female staff was very nice and polite. That's always a plus. I ordered a spinach burrito and I must say that I wasn't impressed at all. The melted stiffened cheese did not help either. Despite all of the ingredients, my burrito was very tasteless and bland. It came with free chips and salsa and the salsa wasn't all that good either. I like that the chips were not very salty. From the food, I kept getting like a metal taste. Overall, it did fill me up but I will not be going back any time soon.

Used to come here all the time because I worked around the corner. Literally dozens of times I've eaten here. Had lots of great stuff, but oddly fell in love with their potato spinach burrito. I ended up moving just up the block and decided to stop in...the cashier was visibly frustrated with one of the cooks who had not prepped the ingredients to make my order and it sounded like a few other orders had been effected too. The cook in question was hanging out front smoking cigarettes and doing everything but working. The cook started arguing with the cashier right in front of me....the cashier ended up trying to make my burrito with the ingredients they did have but ultimately had to modify the order. All then while they are bickering at eachother. I felt for the cashier because I sensed he was embarrassed and frustrated that customers were not getting what they ordered....but really they were both being unprofessional. I almost told them to forget my order because I just wanted to leave...I won't be coming back here. Ay Caramba is a much better spot with better tasting food and far superior service.

Great delivery to neighborhood declared undelivarable by the restaurants offering delivery. Food was delicious and portions were generous. Beef and chicken tacos, sauces and salsa were excellent. Beans and rice were flavorful and the sauces they make in house are delicious. Order to go or delivery until they open again. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely little Mexican lunch shop. Plenty of seating, the entire menu is delicious (I've tried all of it by now!) and flour tortilla chips come with most meals. No hot drinks or ground beef, but if you stop by do try the green salsa. The fish tacos take a bit of extra time to prepare but are well with the wait. Unless you go crazy you won't pay more than $12 per person, usual price is $9 or $10.

This hole-in-the-wall joint serves some delicious freshly made Mexican dishes. By the way, there's nothing wrong with hole-in-the-wall places. They serve some of the best foods in my experience. The staff was friendly, taking my order promptly with a smile. The food was ready very quickly; which is rare during the lunch rush and even more rare in Richmond. The seating was plentiful, with a lot of small and large tables and chairs spread between 2 open spaces. The decor and furniture add to the aesthetics and show that good food can come from unlikely places. I strongly recommend trying this place out. There's metered parking outside as well as a parking deck across the street.

"I remember it being better" Haven't been there in 7 years and I think I romanticized it in my memory because today's lunch was beyond bland. It's a cool spot, and it'd be great but the food really wasn't that good. The chicken was bland and the steak was so chewy I had to spit most of it out. The enjoyable salsa bar is long gone. The only redeeming thing they make is the homeade chips, which are amazing but were mixed in with store bought tortillas making for a confusing presentation. I love the idea and memories of their good food, and I challenge the future new owner (it's been reported as being for sale) to bring back the quality that's slowly been lost, and please let me know when you do so I may return and enjoy Cafe Ole once more.
