The pizzas are some of the best I've ever had - the gypsy, piggy and garden are standouts on a solid menu with no disappointments thus far. Definitely my go-to. also the shockoe nachos, with the chorizo and beer cheese (get extra beer cheese if you're a complete glutton like me.) favorite richmond takeout for sure

Some of the best pizza you'll put in your mouth. It's cooked perfectly in the wood fire brick oven, which isn't easy to accomplish. The staff and owner are great and super friendly. I have a lot of choices within walking distance, but Shockoe Valley Pizza is a regular stop for me.

The owner is from sicily he bakes the pizza in a brick oven himself and is so serious about being true to italian pizza that he doesnt let anyone else make the sauce or bake the pizza. I used to live in germany and would frequently visit italy because it wasnt too far a drive. THIS IS TRUE ITALIAN PIZZA!!! You will not find anywhere else in richmond with this quality of sauce, crust, and service. Five stars all day everyday. I eat here a minimum of once a week

Came in about an hour before closing on a weeknight after rafting down the James and my group of three was treated like we were the first customers of the day! Giuseppe is from Italy and knows what he is doing! My girlfriend studied abroad for an entire year and said it took her straight back to her days in Florence. Later Giuseppe came out to chat with us about the food and was very kind and thankful for our patronage. We won't do pizza anywhere else from now on!
