Tipsy Crab

After reading other reviews, I decided to get the Sweet & Tipsy Po Boy & upgraded to Tipsy Crab fries as well + got extra sauce. But there's already plenty of sauce so it's not very necessary (but it is SUPER GOOD). From my experience, the Tipsy Crab fries so far have been the best fries I've tried in RVA. The Po Boy was VERY BIG to me with plentyyy of shrimp- im thankful they don't skimp out!!! I couldnt finish, so these will make great leftovers. The restaurant is a little too dark inside at night for my liking but you're here for the food. The Gumbo was also good, but not blow-your-mind amazing. TT was also our server and she was so lovely and went above & beyond !!

*Update* I thought this place had closed down for good but they are back open and packing that same punch of flavor to be one of the top seafood spots in RVA 😋! Try everything off the menu, and get the tipsy sauce and the secret sauce to pair with your choice of chicken, shrimp or fish- guaranteed to make your mouth water for more 🤤. This place is absolutely delicious! If you’re look for a good seafood spot that’s closer than going up to MD or Norfolk this is the one. The crab dip and crab fries are great starters to get you primed and ready for the main course 😋. The shrimp & catfish has the perfect seasoning and crisp to it and once you add their house made tipsy sauce let’s just say your tastes buds will 💥💥💥! If you haven’t been here or just heard about it and been skeptical don’t wait around any longer!

This was my second time patronizing this establishment. I love it! The food is awesome, and always hot. Ordered the crab dip, delicious. The catfish with fried shrimp platter, delicious. The crab cake sandwich was good, but too small. The crab cake did not fill the bun even halfway. I think for $20 they can make the crab cakes alittle bigger. Last thing is the frozen peach tea, so delicious! Great establishment and good service! I will patronize frequently! Only street parking!

I used to eat here 2-3 times a week for lunch. The food was always amazing! The tipsy crab fries were sensational and always fresh. The seafood mac was awesome as well. Great atmosphere and excellent service. I even had a chance to meet the owner and he was a great guy. I highly recommend this place to everyone. You will not regret stopping by the Tipsy Crab!

The food was life-changing. We got a chicken sandwich and the shrimp Po boy, both juicy and flavorful. The fries and hush puppies were steamy and delicious, the best we've ever had. The owner was very kind and helped us with things to do in Richmond. I would definitely recommend, and we will be coming back whenever we are in town.

First time here. This was a perfect experience from Start to finish. Brandon was our waiter and you can tell that we weren’t just another customer. When we were making our order he gave his suggestions and he didn’t lead us wrong. It was GREAT. Perfect flavors, perfect sauces, perfect temperature of food. I travel a lot and Things can start tasting the same but this was a whole experience! Even the food speaks for itself. Awesome customer service pushed this review past 5 stars! I’ll definitely be coming back!!!!!
