Wide selection of tapas dishes, including seafood and vegetarian. The peeled prawns with cayane pepper and garlic were absolutely delicious! Love how the fried cheese triangles were all melting on the inside. A bit disappointed by their fried calamari as is was soggy and not seasoned at all. Sangria was yummy and refreshing. The food came out pretty quickly though the restaurant was quite busy. Will be back to try their paella.

Attended here by the off chance they could fit us in without a reservation. Luckily the lady at the front of house managed to get us a table. The service was faultless, the food was simply amazing and very tasty. The service was quick and the prices was reasonably priced. 2 mains with sides and 2 drinks cost just over £40.

Spanish restaurant close to Richmond station. The food was delicious and the staffs were very friendly. They have plenty of seats in side and some tables outside. When we went around 5pm on Saturday, there were already some customers enjoying early dinner and became almost full when we finished eating around 7pm. I liked the marinated anchovies! Octopus seemed popular which was also really tasty.

Don Fernando’s offers excellent Spanish tapas and meals for reasonable prices. Their Paella Valenciana tastes wonderful and is generously served. Service is good and overall ambiance is great. It is a big place so seating should not be a problem.

This was quite a family comfortable place and had some good tapas. The red sangria was excellent. The Pinchito Moruno and Chorizo Cocido Al Vino Tinto were both very tasty. The Calamares Romana was undercooked and slightly rubbery. I might avoid any seafood the next time. Other than that, we enjoyed our dinner and hope more people start enjoying with us.
The deserts (crème brule and almond tart) were both quite good as well as the red port and moscato.

This is the most delicious Spanish food I've had outside of Spain. The restaurant is run by a family who knows how to cook good food and look after the people who come here to enjoy it. I've been here many times and I've never received anything less than exceptional service and food. This is one of the places that you just want to go to because they make you feel welcome and you always end up leaving with a full belly. The closes you'll get to Spain without leaving the county whilst Covid is still lurking around.

Great Sangria. Red better than the white. Good selection of veg and non veg tapas. The paella for 2 people was really large. Good service. Had a homely feel.

Booked a table for 18:15, the restaurant was just starting to buzz. As always a great welcome, accompanied by amazing food, wine, service & atmosphere. Thankyou for a great evening.

Absolutely stunning little tapas restaurant with a great selection of tasty, but affordable meals with refreshing beers all served with a smile. Would highly recommend.

We've been going to Don Fernandi's for more than 20 years. Always great fun, buzzy atmosphere, fantastic staff and wonderful food and wine.

Absolutely loved it! Came in here last week and had an amazing paella and sangria. All the starters and desserts were great and the selection of drinks was fantastic. Service was really good and quick, especially the lovely lady that served us, I think Delia was her name. Will come back soon!

Fantastic Spanish restaurant, specialising in tapas, but also do paella and other mainstream spanish dishes. Great service from wonderful staff. Highly recommended

This tapas bar has been in Richmond for years. Whilst other establishments have come and gone, Don Fernando's has remained. The food is very tasty and the service is friendly. The only downside is the decor which is a bit dated but not worth losing a star rating for. I will definitely be coming back.

This restaurant is very welcoming, well laid out and most importantly serves up delicious authentic Spanish dishes. Ham and chicken croquettes and pulpo gallego were particularly delightful. Staff are very helpful and offer recommendations if you don't know much about Spanish food. All good value, and there's a real treat for cheese lovers after the tapas have been polished off.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for years and I'm so glad I finally did! The food was absolutely divine and authentic, much better than any chain tapas!
And the staff are simply exceptional! I can't wait to come back!

I visited the don fernandos for a pre show meal. Such a friendly traditional welcoming restaurant in Richmond. I felt like I was in the Andalusia region of Spain. Really friendly staff who explained how the Tapas dishes worked. Food was brought to the table quickly and piping hot.
Excellent place to eat. Would go back again.

We visited yesterday on our way to the Rugby at Twickenham and although it was really busy we managed to get seated at their 'emergency table'. The food came in no time at all and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were excellent as well. If ever your in Richmond and fancy some Spanish food you can't go wrong with this place.

We have been for the past 2 years after the army vs. Navy rugby match and they have managed to find a table for us with no notice for 20 people both years. Excellent friendly service. Cheap but incredibly high quality and tasty food. Couldn't recommend anywhere more in richmond

Never have I seen my Spanish partner so excited to have found a restaurant that offers a true, authentic taste of home. I too was outstanded. Great food, atmosphere and service. Already recommending Don Fernando's to all my friends and family.

Best Spanish restaurant for miles. Traditional, friendly, warm atmosphere with great food. Good value for money. Never fails to impress. Recommended to many friends. One of my favourite restaurants ever.

Last visit a year ago and feel portion sizes have decreased, prices increased and all was far to greasy- shame

No Spanish friend who has eaten here with me has had a bad word to say about this Richmond must visit eaterie. No complaints about the food - hot, tasty, served with a smile. Never eaten a bad meal here.

My favourite restaurant in Richmond. Very busy but the staff are always attentive when needed and the food is simple yet wonderful. A great place and one I always return too.

It is always my favourite Spanish restaurant in London. The sardines, garlic squid and mussels are our favourite. The paella is very nicely cooked too. Love this place so much.

Five star tapas and staff! We only visit once a year, on our way home from Chelsea Flower Show but the food is so good it's worth getting off the train for. It's become part of our day out and we wouldn't miss it for the world! We did over order this year, but no worry as we we brought the rest of it home with us!

Next best thing to being in Spain tapas are good real friendly atmosphere

Lis loves the tapas. My favourite pre-theatre restaurant in Richmond. Been going there for years - love the food and staff are always welcoming.

The food was abominable- possibly the worst I've ever had. The tapas were very ordinary-we thought we might overlook those if the seafood paella we ordered was good. No such luck though- despite paying 15 pounds each for it, what we got was slimy seafood that tasted foul. All three of us just took one bite, stopped right there, paid the bill ( the waiter or the management weren't over concerned with our obvious dissatisfaction) and headed over to a Paul's across the road. I might add that all three of us had are stomachs a bit upset later that night. I'm just glad we stopped eating- saved a trip to the hospital. Would not recommend, to say the least!!

Consistently Good. Have visited this establishment many times over the past 20 years, and find it consistently one of the best tapas restaurants I know, even compared to a number in Valencia!
The pinchos de rape ,and habas con jamon are particular favourites. Sevice is brisk and helpful.

Fresh food PLEASE!? STAY AWAY. I LOVE a good tapas, I came here with my parents waiting for my younger brother as he attends cadets in the Richmond area. We ordered a mixture of everything, the usual tapas, mushrooms in breadcrumbs, chicken wings...

IT WAS ALL DEFINITELY NOOOOOOOT FRESH. almost everything IF not everything was from a jar out of brine. If a tapas restaurant wants to be successful, how can serving food from frozen and out of tins be any good!?

DON'T BOTHER! Go to La Tasca!

Abandon all hope ye who enter here. Possibly the most offensive food experience in London.

I am having a difficulty understanding how this anachronism - that might not have been out of place in the culinary desert that was Britain in the sixties - has survived to foul our palates in this more enlightened age.

Facts:

- The spanish omelette: a GLORIOUS and SIMPLE dish that is not that difficult to master and is usually, at the very worst, at least tasty if not delicious. This one was dry, soulless and too salty. No effort.

- The lamb chops: the meat was not particularly fresh, but these were passable. Difficult to get wrong regardless of time and effort involved.

- The standout dish for my friend and I was the chickpea dish. One tin of chickpeas, one tin of chopped tomatoes, two slices of raw courgette. What is loosely being referred to as a 'dish' here had admittedly just about been given enough time on the fire or the microwave to be warm. After approximately ten seconds of utter disbelief after tasting this, my friend's reaction was "...why would you even put this on ethe menu?".

There were other dishes, all of which led me to the conclusion that the staff do not taste the food that they make. The waiter did not even bother commenting on whether or not we had enjoyed the meal, as it was obvious from the mostly unfinished dishes what our appraisal was.

Two very hungry people left mostly hungry and paid a fair amount for it regardless of the quality, or lack thereof.

If all other restaurants in London happen to be closed, consider sandwiches.
Paul
Outstanding every time. No other tapas like it. prices have gone up and up and still worth every penny.

Visited last nite after a recommendation. Food was wonderful, staff were friendly and efficient. Food was served very quickly. Very large eating area so unlikely you wouldn't get a table.
