Only didn't give it a Five due to the cut grass left on fairways other than that a great interesting golf course. Food was amazing as well excellent definitely will be back love the Ist hole.
A very well kept course, and a good test of golf. The clubhouse didn't open until after 8am on a bank holiday so we teed off without a coffee or bacon sandwich but enjoyed the day and will return!
Ormond Fields has always been in great condition when I have played the course. Albeit it has always rained too!! This is a challenging course which I feel plays quite long and has a large variety of holes. This course would never become boring. Price wise this is somewhat of a gem with more than reasonable rates found. Very enjoyable.
Well maintained golf course. Challenging without being too long. A little hilly.
First visit to the course and I was very impressed with the keeping of the course also very helpful and friendly staff.
It wasn't as good as last few times we've been as a family group of about 30. Had carvery. Meat was fine. Thought roast potatoes and veg were if anything not fresh/ overcooked compared to before when we've been. Irish coffees proved to be a problem ( couldn't do them for some reason) even though Americano was good. Had the Blue Monkey beer which was excellent.
Enjoyed an excellent dinner ,I shall return in the very near future.👍
The Sunday carvery at the codnor Castle inn is by far the best In the area.
Lovely well run golf club. Ground keepers do a great job. Had nice Sausage bacon and egg sandwich for my breakfast. They also serve some great tasting filter coffee. Great value for money 😁
Nice golf course. Played a few times. Looks in particularly good condition considering how dry it been. Others courses are very brown. Greens look great but for some reason are very slow.
I haven't played golf in a long time but it was suggested by a couple of friends to start again. We had a lovely day on the course and my swing wasn't too rusty, although my putting was a little off. Great course though and plenty to challenge me. All in all it was a fun day and great to be back out playing again. The course isn't one for beginners but if you have some experience you'll have a great time here. Well worth a visit.
We went for Mother's Day. There were four of us and it was a blessed time. The food was excellent and there was a good atmosphere.
