Me and my family went this lunch time for meal to celebrate our sons 16 th birthday .The food was delicious . I had Meatballs for starter wow it was delicious and the beef roast for main and then cheese cake all I can say is it was delicious .We have eaten here before but never on a lunch time ,it was lovely highly recommend.We all had a lovely meal the staff were friendly and bought out our son's birthday cake and sang happy Birthday with us .Thank u so much for another lovely meal .Will be coming again very soon
On entering we were met by friendly staff and that set the presidency for the evening. I could not fault the service or the food! A lovely place to visit regardless of occasion. We had our 17th wedding anniversary this evening and it was the perfect setting to enjoy a great meal with top service one of the best home made pasta meals I have ever had!!! thank you all the staff at Hot Lava
So delicious food. Very friendly atmosphere and lovely owner. Compare to other restaurants they serve fantastic starters! Very fresh and beautifully serverd. For main Chicken in lime & cream sauce was pure heaven :)

Booked Hot Lava to celebrate my 40th birthday and what a great choice it was. The staff made everything so easy and were very friendly. The food was fantastic, well presented and very tasty, everyone commented on how lovely there meals were. Everything ran so smoothly and was well organised. Great friendly customer service from start to finish; in helping arrange a lovely 40th birthday meal for 10..Not only are they a lovely bunch of staff, but the food was excellent quality and really reasonably priced with large portions. The restaurant is welcoming and friendly, we will return thanks once again.

Went to Hot Lava tonight. It was lovely!! Reasonably priced Italian and American food. We had garlic bread, Calamari, pizza and Jack Daniels chicken all lovely. Attentive staff, nice atmosphere and good food. Xxx
Absolutely amazing food! Visited with friends and so glad we found this wonderful restaurant. All the staff were friendly and helpful and served us with a smile. Food was so delicious and plenty of choice on the menu to suit everyone. Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and definitely will return.
On a cold and rainy night we enjoyed the food and good service. I loved the mushroom risotto, and everyone liked their steaks, which were all cooked as per requests. The desserts were lovely.
One small point on that night was we had all travelled some for up to an hour and then walked and got so cold en route, we didn't really warm up during the evening as the restaurant temperature seemed on the cool side. We did ask if the heating could be adjusted, and there was a small heater plugged in, but it didn't seem to help heat the restaurant as much as we needed to reverse the effects of our journey.
It was an unexpectedly busy Saturday night but the staff took time to workout how to fit us in. The food was good, the staff friendly with a relaxed atmosphere - we had a lovely night. We were a family of 2 adults and 2children. Would recommend.

Authentic and popular Ittalian restaurant with friendly and cheerful staff. It was still quite busy midweek with happily-chatting customers. It's midrange with no food or wine snobbery. Easy parking quite nearby outside Booths supermarket - free after 6pm. The food is good too - made onsite to order with personal expertise of the chef. Highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic experience to dine here. The waitresses were so friendly and hospitable; the food was excellent - tasted amazing and great portion size too. I'm just sorry I don't live nearby (I live in Liverpool), otherwise I'd definitely be back!
Been here twice now and I'll definitely be returning. Portions are generous and prices are more than reasonable. The latest time I've gone my friend and I got the tomato garlic bread to share as a started - which was a good choice, as the garlic bread is quite big!
For the main I had the Risotti Alla Cream Fungi (see photo), which was absolutely gorgeous.
The total bill came to just about £20 each - sharing a starter and both having one alcoholic drink.
Staff is very friendly and serve quickly. The restaurant wasn't very busy the two times I've been, one of which was a Thursday evening.

Had a group meal here and was very pleased not only with the great quality of food but also the wonderful service. Would definitely recommend. A good choice of menu and drinks, reasonably priced Very yummy and a happy tummy - can't complain at that.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it was a great experience. The food was very well cooked and the service was quick and friendly. One of our favourites.
Loved the food, felt like the chef cared about what I wanted. Waitress was lovely and friendly.
We visited at 6pm to get the special early bird price. Friendly, attentive staff, good range of menu items and food arrived really hot. A box was willingly offered to take our leftovers home for tomorrow and the quality and taste would have made it a sin to leave them! I should also mention that the fact we were on the early special price did not mean we were in any way rushed to eat up, the whole experience was relaxed and pleasant.
Very reasonably priced food, quick and friendly service. I’d definitely recommend them over some of the more expensive Italian Restaurants in Ripon.
We came here as the menu looked very appetising. It was the perfect fit for our family. Our children really enjoyed the pasta and pizza dishes, and my husband and I enjoyed some mains and starters that were cooked perfectly. The wait staff did an excellent job meeting our needs and they were very welcoming and attentive- but also left us to ourselves when we wanted to be. It was a great experience and the food was delicious.
