I visited this pub for a group birthday celebration and we reserved the outside seated area (under cover) which had loads of comfy sofas. There are also extra benches & tables in the garden area. There is separate a Garden Bar where you can order food & drinks (a special mention about the chicken wings; they were fab). The garden overlooks fields where horses roam and it was so peaceful. There is free parking at the front.

Nice pub. Stopped for a drink and to relax. Plenty of selections for those wanting a drink. Food was ample but after 9pm not serving so couldn't sample. Prices reasonable. Parking ample. Facilities clean. Access for all easy. Nice garden area to relax and plenty of tables. Friendly service. I would recommend

Nice old pub good garden and inside was comfortable. The food selection was limited. We went for burgers which didn’t disappoint. Was a quiet mid week visit and had to catch the waitress attention a few times. Overall a good experience. Would of been good to try an actual pie or the liver we had heard about neither available.

I came on Saturday afternoon and the food was excellent. I had the pigeon which was on special and it was lovely. The waiting staff were very friendly and I really enjoyed my meal. We will be coming back. I have also recommended you to others.

Second visit to The Rabbits. Chose for Father's Day meal. Everything was perfect. Staff are so friendly and accommodating, they can't do too much for you. Food was fantastic. I loved the feta and watermelon salad, so refreshing! My special of cod, spinach capers and new potatoes in garlic and olive oil was just divine and my other half had the trio Sunday roast which he enjoyed and I sampled and also liked! I desserts were also fab. We will be back. It takes a lot to get food and service right on Father's Day and they aced it.

Been living in london for 10 years never been to a more welcoming, warm and laid back pub. Honestly 11/10

We found The Rabbits through a "good old fashioned" Google search looking for somewhere half way between where we and some friends live, with the criteria of allowing the dogs in and being near somewhere we could walk the dogs after food. I forgot to take pictures of the mains, which were an excellent roast lamb and pork (beef, chicken and nut roast were also available) while the kids wanted hamburgers. The food was excellent, service likewise, two hours flew by. Prices reasonable but worth it for the quality. We'll go again if we need another "half way house".

I booked for sunday roast and we were a party of 6. Roast was fantastic and so was the rocher cheesecake.
My two children had the mini roast which they thoroughly enjoyed. We were seated in the glass extension and it was toasty warm. Will definitely visit again.

We were passing by this place and made a u-turn because it looked very cute. And found out that it has really nice little garden in the back. Little cute pub. Did not try the food. Just had some drinks with sweet potato fries and fries were so tasty. I imagine food must be tasty as well. Garden is so relaxing and has a beautiful scenery. Staff was nice too. I reccomend.

Very nice pub set in the Essex countryside. Easy access and parking with a good size grassy beer garden. Inside was cosy and the staff very welcoming and friendly. Also allows dogs and caters for them with bowls of water and a few sausages if you ask. The food was of good standard and portion size with both typical pub grub and a few other specials. Certainly recommend the pie of the day! Only thing was lacking was more variety for vegetarians on the menu. There were only a couple of veg options in the mains and although looked good, would be nice seemed to be the easy options and it would be 5* if there was greater choice.

We came for dinner, it was very nice. It was very busy, best to book a table. Other seating and a bar outside in the large garden.
Plenty of choice on the menu, all our food was well presented and nicely cooked. All the staff were very friendly and polite
Clean toilets and plenty of free parking

Booked last minute after trying to find somewhere locally for a roast. Can only say wow, most definately the best roast we have had out in a long time! Delicious. Not cheap but where is nowadays. Highly recommend.

First time for us, we found the waitresses very friendly and accommodating. As we are vegetarians we cannot comment on the whole range of food but the pizza we ordered was nothing special. The look inside the restaurant gives cold feeling. Spacious outdoor seating and plenty of parking.

Every time we visit here it's amazing. The garden is in the countryside with nice views and the food is always excellent.
Had the Sunday roast today and it was one of the best we've had.

We thought we would try the Rabbits for a family birthday as the normal pub restaurant we go to in Stanford Rivers has gone down hill. We were very pleased to find that the Rabbits has pleasant motivated staff and the food was was very good with much more variety on the menu.

We were looking for a nice Sunday lunch and came across the pub which has obviously had a major refurb since we were last there 5+ yrs ago. They seated us without a reservation which was good as it was busy but the female host and waiting staff were less than warm. The menu was pretty standard pub grub and I ordered the onion and blue cheese tart (which was served with Roast Trimmings) for £12.50 and hubby went for a burger and chips. Food took about 20 mins to arrive and although they got his order wrong this was replaced within 5 minutes. My tart was actually a piece of anaemic puff pastry with a pile of caramelised onions and a bit of Stilton crumbled over top, the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were dry and cold (probably as plates were cold) and all the vegetables were served "buttered" which actually just tasted greasy. No seasoning/herbs were used and I wasn't offered a gravy. Partner said his burger was ok but the chips were also dry and cold so he left them. All in all, it was very disappointing and despite only eating 2 bites of my tart I was not offered a refund/reduction on bill. When I told waitress that this wasn't a tart, she stared at me completely vacantly. To be honest I was surprised it was so busy as this was the poorest pub food we've had for a long time and can only assume that the patrons are regulars who don't really know much better (it was pretty TOWIE in there!). We will definitely not be going back and have had better meals in Wetherspoons at considerably less cost - £40 odd for two poor main meals and 3 soft drinks. Would NOT recommend.

Bunch of rude inconsiderate gobby people , think cause it's family
Owned they can treat people like the bottom of there shoe . 2 hours wait until ordering promises they would come for us to order . 40 minute drink wait . Food served wrong ! A table of 14 and 2 without food after 20 minutes of the rest eating . Starters served with half dessert spoons and half actual soup spoons . Lies about Sauces they had run out the back door and the waiter couldn't get to them more like she forgot ! Total shambles they couldn't organise a piss up in there own pub
Stephanie Morton
From the minute we walked in the door the staff were so welcoming Food was amazing and the service second to none. Thank you all so much, if there is an example of how a pub should be run, this is it !! Well done to you all, and we shall most definitely be back !!

Excellent bit of tucker. Nicest roast lamb loin I ever had a melt in the mouth experience

Wouldn't waste my time or money again! Over priced food, rude staff (apart from one lovely lady) Waiting over an hour for a roast, over half an hour for drinks, food came with bits missing! To say the waitress had a chip on her shoulder would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! She looked down on us like total rubbish! It was literally one thing after another and if it wasn't for the one lovely young lady then I would of walked out, she should teach the rest of them including the manager bloke some customer service skills!

Amazing food, lovely staff, always a warm welcome, highly recommend

Lovely food but was put off with my food placed on a wooden board. Whats wrong with a good old fashioned plate!! Too much bacteria on wooden boards. Apart from that was ok but a bit over priced.

Lovely cosy pub. Sunday roast delicious but staff a little off their game. Wrong meals meant for another table, rose wine instead of white and we had to ask about our mains after waiting 30 mins after our starters were cleared. Just a bad day??

We was in to eat at 330 didn't get out till 620. The food took so long to come their was not enough staff they had a 8th party and everybody else had to wait. It was my first time and my last. We had two children with us it's just not good enough.
