From the outside the restaurant doesn't look all that, but don't judge a book by its cove! I went there unannounced in a party of 4 and from the get go the staff were friendly and quick also the most important point the food was excellent and reasonably priced.

I originally posted a review two years ago and have amended it today. I tried loads of takeaways when I first moved to Hornchurch and this one came out top. Good old traditional Chinese takeaway with fab food.

Still amazing almost three years from my first order. I love the freshness of the food, amazing customer service (they are so lovely and friendly) and the speed of delivery. They also use fantastic delivery staff, they are so friendly and lovely. Had to top up my original review from two years ago, as I'm still so impressed!
New years Eve night, I had a house party and we decided to order Chinese. So I rung the Moon House in Victoria Road, and what a great choice this was.
A polite helpful chap was very informative about my meal choices, It was a rather large order, but I need not have worried. The food was delivered on time as promised and lovely and hot. And was eagerly awaited by my hungry guests. And it was absolutely delicious. By far the very best chinese food around.
A very small amount left (rice), everyone was full and satisfied.
I know that the Moon House will be having more people ordering food from there, so I thank you Moon House for the delicious food which helped make our New Years eve night extra special.
I -We WILL be back.

I have never been a lover of Chinese take away food, however, very late on Saturday night, I found myself ar the Moon House
ordering food. I found the staff that were taking my order to be very friendly and helpul and the food was much better lthan I had anticipated. I had liked it very much and now look forward to going back and trying new dishes. I had hoped for more quantity of meats and prawns in the Special Fried Rice, maybe next time. I loved the Peking Spare Ribs and the curry sauce!! A few other dishes that were great too. Thank you
This is the best Chinese restaurant. My family and I have been going here for over 50 years. For a restaurant to be going this long and maintain excellent service and consistent quality of food is quite an achievement. Highly recommend anyone who enjoy Chinese food to eat here!
I'm a regular customer and the service is always amazing ( they are really friendly) and the food is delicious. When we sometimes decide to eat at home they deliver a takeaway which also has a fast service. Recommend it 10/10
You have got to roder from these guys! Food is always spot on whether you order a takeaway or actually go to the restaurant.
Takeaway - always get what i order even when i make loads of changes and normally turns up earlier than expected
Restuarant - Bit dated inside but id rather the decor stay the same and they employ the same chef(s) as whoever is cooking the food is definaltey worth their wages! Great place, great service and always recommend to family and friends who also feel the same! Keep it going guys, your doing a great job and dont change!!! Would give 6 stars if i could.
Very friendly and good food. `We are really sad to have found Moon House closed. Thank you Ray, Jenny, David and other staff for the service over the years. Regards from the only Dutch and American in the village.
Always great food at a good price. The staff is very nice. They should just renovate the furnitures to get my fifth π

Excellent food. The decor could do with updating but the food more than makes up for it. Friendly staff, great prices.
