The guy was nice, but we had to stop at every public toilet on the way home. We got food poisoning from the chicken. It was not a great experience at all. I would avoid at all costs!

The chicken here is absolutely beautiful, tender with an amazing taste of chicken, slow cooked over hot Smokey charcoal too absolute perfection. I haven’t enjoyed chicken like this in a very long time. It was worth the drive. Gave it a four because I wasn’t sure if it was free range or not.

Got the dinner deal. Whole chicken, med chips and med salad for $25.90. Salad was a little small for a family of four but the chips were generous and not greasy and we had left over sweet juicy chicken. Very happy with our reasonably priced family feed.

Loved it so much went back for dinner after lunch. Chips were amazing, delicious Lillydale chickens vs cheap supermarket junk.

Just went there today - ordered a whole chicken and large chips. Not only are the portion sizes generous, it was also very delicious! Highly recommended, especially as dry chicken is a way too frequent occurrence at Charcoal Chicken places. Owner was also very friendly, offered chicken salt without needing to ask.
As for the chicken itself, even the breast meat was tender and soft unlike many places where the breast pieces tend to be hard and dry.
