Great little place. Good ales and good company. Music appreciated. Two evenings spent there and loved it.

Love it, company and beer first class. Update still good, impromptu music happens when peps take the instruments off the wall. It gets a lot of tourist in which actually adds to a night, pretty sure they enjoy their nights!

Popped in whilst staying at local campsite. Staff, range of drinks and atmosphere was brilliant ( and a sneaky free buffet). Revisited the 2nd night to have “pie night”. My first time ever to have slow roasted lamb shank in mint gravy, with a pie crust in a pot dish - I wanted to lick the bowl clean, it was soo soo yummy!. Again, brilliant, friendly owners and regulars. A MUST visit whilst in Ross on Wye

What a great little pub, beer great, food great, Landlord Landlady were very friendly and made it feel like your local. Local people were friendly to. We met some wonderful people in there. And to top it all dog friendly. We were staying on a camp site near by. I have told them to tell fellow campers about The Tap House. Had a great time. Thank you.

Popped in for a drink and stayed for hours due to very friendly locals and fantastic landlord and landlady. This pub the most dog friendly pub we have ever been to. Dog treats on the bar and dogs allowed to sit on the chairs and make themselves comfortable. A warm welcome to anyone coming in and you leave feeling like a local. The food is excellent. We had the sharer platter with Mac n cheese & a bowl of spicy beans all delicious! A good variety of their own beers/ciders. Will definitely be back!

Happened upon this gem after the Beer and Cider Festival. We were welcomed very warmly and the drink selection was SUPERBLY competitive. The bar was busy so we were happy perching at the bar, just chatting and taking in the atmosphere. Beer and cider selection were stellar Suddenly we were graciously offered seats at a table with the owners who were very, very friendly and asked us what brought us to town. Suddenly we were offered samples of their home brewed beer which was fantastic. The banter flowed and we felt like locals. It's an experience that simply doesn't happen any more. It ended up starting as a mini bar hop and ended up as ending up at the best place in town. You're welcomed and you hate to leave. Also please say hello to Ted the Dog. He deserves so much love. The prices are super competitive and the reception is as warming as a winter soup. Please, visit this gem.

Amazing bar which we found out of the blue. Great hospitality by the owner and family. Amazing drink selection ranging from locally brewed by themselves to sours/ciders/ales IPA’s and lagers. As tourist we were felt very welcome and at home. Definitely a place I would visit again and definitely would recommend to everybody to try

On a break in Wye Valley, I noticed this tap house from earlier viewings around Ross on wye. I initially was en route to Ross beer festival (tho due to festival licencing laws, only so much capacity allowed in at once), I didn't want to arrive, if turned away. I settled on visiting the tap house, for a prologue. TBH, upon visiting this establishment, I never made it to the festival, there was no requirement. You have a wide selection of ales, (more than any festival), the welcome is fantastic & owners very knowledgeable, the landlady is gorgeous, she has a great pull, as I felt bad asking for a cask, which I saw her previously having difficulty turning the tap on this particular barrel. If you into your beers then I highly recommended, I will visit again, if when in the area
