Came in the one of the hottest days of the year. Staff weren't phased by it. Food came quite quickly and massive portions. Was not expecting a giant fish amongst my chips. Other party had also the same, large portions for reasonable prices. The best was the strawberry refresher was just beautiful. Really nice experience.
Can’t fault this pub! The food is great, the drinks are great and the staff can’t be anymore helpful! They even do live music on some weekends and the atmosphere is so comfortable, not to mention my dog Betty who loves to visit and have a treat! I recommend a visit! 🎶🍺🐶
Stopped for a full roast dinner today, definitely worth it! Paid a little extra to have two meats (beef & turkey) and very tasty it was! Pint of shandy to go with it made for a lovely Sunday lunch.
Went in for a birthday meal for my dad. The staff was lovely as per. The food was also amazing , definitely worth the price. And I’m loving the new look after the refurbishment. Overall great experience and would definitely go again.
We are new to this area and have been in this pub now 3 times over the past couple of months. Every time service is spot on, the team are lovely and the food is lovely too. Served at a decent pace so no real lengthy waiting times. We like it so much we’re going back to eat tonight as they have a tribute band on! That’s also another good thing we like, they always seem to be doing something.
Dropped in without a reservation, 6 in our party including a toddler. Didn’t realise there was a Halloween party being held and found all the tables reserved. We were ready to leave but made an enquiry with the bar staff who were delightful. The manager came and, although clearly very busy, was very accommodating and managed to find a table, chairs and high chair for us.
Service at the bar was good and all staff very helpful. Food was good although I personally wasn’t eating.
The manager took time to engage with us during our stay and was very patient around the kids. The party was popular with the kids and the atmosphere overall was good.
They appear to have a very active program of events.

Not local for me but often in that area and will definitely visit again.
My wife and I had a Sunday dinner everything was fine until my wife tried the roast potatoes they had garlic on them which she doesn't like. There was nothing on the menu to say they were going to be cooked with garlic, this needs to be addressed so it doesn't happen again.

Really friendly staff. Main meal OK. It was hot except for the onion rings, which were solid, cold and tasted awful. The sticky toffee pudding was really good
We had great time with friends. There were traditional food, good vibes, great stuff!
