This was a lovely pub to visit, having a grand old design conveyed by the raw style of the walls! The entrance is very stylish and the bar was well presented, where me and my friend were served by friendly staff. I enjoyed a refreshing pint of Blood Orange Cinder, good on Wetherspoon's for this new drink! The seating is comfortable, cleanliness had been enforced and a light on the wall made a nice addition.
More attractive from the outside than the inside ,but as with all Spoons a great pint and lovely staff.The toilets however do need some attention, very few were working and those that were weren't very clean.Car park down a hill at the rear of the pub but limited to an hour for £1 pay and display.
This Witherspoon is one of the best I've been in for a while, today they let themselves down with 10 beans on a large brunch, and a rude customer of the older persuasion who was watching TicToc on full volume with no headphones, not a staff fault but annoying.
Great pub with good service. Visited on a match day. Staff were welcoming, choice of beers Great and food was good. Prices are typically Wetherspoons so value all round. Worth a visit.
Wow amazing manager special. Mixed grill £4.99 get in there.

Been coming.Cant beat a Wetherspoon's on price..Think I've tried most meals on the menu.Dont like the new burgers tho much preferred the old ones.
It was a shock to discover that our previously favoured watering hole, the Corn Law had been closed down and recently gutted by a fire but the kind and friendly local police directed us to the Blue Coat, a charity school built in 1776, now lovingly preserved by JD Wetherspoons, continuing the social theme with Ruddles ale at 99p a pint. Great pub. Quick, friendly service at prices you can afford. Usual excellent Wetherspoons food available.
Always a great place to drink and eat cheaply. Food has always been good. The only moan I have is that it needs a bloody good brighter paint job.
