Called in with the dog for a quick drink. Friendly barman offered water and treats for the mut, but unfortunately no coffee for the owner in this pub, but happy to have a coke instead. Clean pub with a nice atmosphere.
A lovely friendly local pub with great food, big portions, at a great price. Well trained staff that are up to date & very understanding of allergens. A really well kept pint, which is well presented in very clean glasses.
Anne-marie did a lovely spread on wednesday for my mum's wake would highly recommend the ship and it's staff any day of the week. Fantastic atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble, plenty of banter especially when my husband torments Anne-marie over football xx

1st time we have had sunday lunch at the ship and it definatley wont be the last,food amazing,hot and plentyfull.it is advisable to pre book though.me and my wife went in on the off chance and the staff accomadated us with a warm welcome

A warm welcoming proper pub with a good selection of beers and ciders. Very nice staff who make you more than welcome. Easy to park with a carpark to the side and rear of the pub. Outdoor seating at the front and also at the rear of the pub.
I went today with a couple of friends and I can't praise it enough. The menu was extensive with lots of choice. Fabulous home cooked food at very reasonable prices with a lovely atmosphere and very tasteful decor. I would highly recommend, we loved it so much we have booked in for a Christmas meal..
Went in here today with my Daughter, the staff were kind & helpful.
The food was delicious & hot, i had the scampi & my Daughter had the steak pie with Gravy, both were served with proper fat brown chips with a choice of garden peas or mushy, we would definatley call in again!
Lovely old village pub, sympathetically refurbished and with a nice outdoor area. The service was efficient friendly and polite, and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be returning soon. Probably one of the best pub meals we've had in ages.

Just had a roast beef Sunday dinner here, we didn't book a table, but we still got a table for 2, our waiter was really caring, and was from my way (durham) so it was nice to have a friendly face and understood my Geordie accent and banter. Lovely little pub, we will be back again....

Very nicely furnished venue. They have an area for drinks where you have a good selection of largers and ciders on the pumps (not just your normal standard options).
